However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Voldbjerg claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

B.I.F's B. Bred was shown a yellow card after 68 minutes for slicing down an opponent. B.I.F's A. Højer Nielsen left the field after 69 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was B. Munk. After 70 minutes, Voldbjerg sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached S. Legeard, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 1 - 2. Voldbjerg nearly produced a goal as G. Torru set up C. Pelage for a strike from a seemingly impossible angle. However he put the shot narrowly wide. With 75 minutes having been played, B.I.F scored to make it 2 - 2. A dribble down the left wing, followed by a shot which took a wicked bounce off a defender resulted in the keeper having no chance. Everyone thought it'd been an own goal, but A. Haandbæk was marked down as the scorer. There was concern in the stands when, at the 76 minute mark, Voldbjerg's M. Castelló hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. Voldbjerg had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.

As neither team was able to break the deadlock before the end of regular play, the teams took to the field again for extra time. 116 minutes into the game, D. Niculae was a hair's breadth away from giving Voldbjerg the lead with a shot from over on the left. A prompt block by N. Merchant saved the home team that time. Coming in from the right, B.I.F had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 117 minutes, but R. Harder's attempt to finish was easily stopped. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave C. Pelage from Voldbjerg a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 118 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! A. Faryński of B.I.F had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. T. Andone came in to finish the match. After extra time, the game was still tied and a penalty shoot-out ensued.

B.I.F's A. Haandbæk kept his cool as he faced down M. Baturay. His composure paid off as he scored easily for 3 - 2. Voldbjerg's M. Baturay didn't hesitate but N. Merchant managed the save, resulting in an unchanged 3 - 2 score. A confident N. Merchant of B.I.F put the ball right where he wanted, but M. Baturay was right there for the save. No goal. Voldbjerg's L. Antoniello looked nervous even as he was putting the ball on the spot. He didn't take much of a run up, and his weak shot was easily saved by the keeper. B.I.F's B. Bred didn't look like he was confident as he stepped up, and produced a badly struck penalty - right into the arms of M. Baturay. The score remained 3 - 2. Clearly nervous from the start, Voldbjerg's C. Pelage took a long run up, but could only blast the ball over the bar. The score remains 3 - 2. B.I.F's A. Säävälä penalty shot was very well placed but M. Baturay went the right way, blocking it spectacularly. The score was still 3 - 2. Voldbjerg's M. Castelló showed he has nerves of steel when it comes to penalties, easily changing the score to 3 - 3. Oooh - how unlucky! B.I.F's B. Munk attempt hit the underside of the bar, but rebounded down into the grateful arms of M. Baturay. The score stays 3 - 3. Voldbjerg's A. Darmanović made no mistake. N. Merchant didn't have a chance. 3 - 4. The most dominating B.I.F player was without a doubt N. Merchant. However, T. Andone made a disastrous appearance. Voldbjerg's best player was G. Torru. C. Pelage on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 4.
