Lucky for him though, there was no goal. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 20 minutes allowed D. Duarte to score for MEDros7. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1. With 23 minutes played, MEDros7 put themselves up 0 - 2 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was C. Charrua. Some fine movement on the left led to a MEDros7 goal after 24 minutes, making it 0 - 3. F. Freitas Sá was noted down as the scorer. V. Neves of P.A.U received a yellow card after 37 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. C. Charrua came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over D. Agostinho but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. Halftime score was 0 - 3. MEDros7 had most of the ball, with 67 percent of possession.

M. Ismail increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 4. After this, you could see that the players of MEDros7 were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. The home crowd was not impressed when A. Lopičević came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 63 minutes. MEDros7 were now up 0 - 5. P.A.U's H. da Cunha was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 64 minutes. Against a lesser team, P.A.U could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 70 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. After 89 minutes A. Silvestre made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to M. Garcia who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 1 - 5. D. Agostinho got a fingertip on A. Moinho's shot from the left 89 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by MEDros7, with 70 percent of the ball.

P.A.U's best player was A. Silvestre. F. Salgado was a disappointment, however. R. Camenzind performed admirably for MEDros7. M. Almeida Gomes turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 5.
