The 11406 spectators at Nothingham Miedo F.C Arena were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Tero Ruotanen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Abel Fernández and Dylan Cailler. Nothingham decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. Lineup: Jimenez - Marambio, Doursther, Kögel, Fernández - Coliqueo, Salinas, Castec, Hartman - Tejo, Izeta.

A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Caupolican. They fielded: Botía - Cabrera, Pufu, Desmet - Smółka, Birolo, Košutić, Philippon - Claridge, Mudry, Pálinger.

With 8 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. A. Košutić put the ball away for 0 - 1. After 9 minutes, Caupolican's M. Claridge burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2. With 19 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed R. Birolo of Caupolican to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 3. S. Desmet received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 22 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 4. The Caupolican fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. After 29 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for R. Birolo who increased Caupolican's lead to 0 - 5. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Caupolican lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. It was 0 - 5 at the break. Caupolican enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 66 percent of possession.

M. Smółka left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 46 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. N. Claude was the replacement. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Caupolican coach let J. Missfeldt replace S. Desmet after 58 minutes. The Caupolican players could smell victory in the air. Á. Pálinger wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for D. Moses after 67 minutes. A well placed corner kick from E. Marambio was followed by M. Castec's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Nothingham, the score now 1 - 5. The referee signalled a penalty 78 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box. I. Mudry knocked it home to make the score 1 - 6. J. Cabrera didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. N. Claude increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 1 - 7. When J. Missfeldt was badly injured by a couple of strong tackles after 86 minutes, Caupolican fans were unhappy to discover that it was not possible to make a substitution. Caupolican increased their lead after 87 minutes when M. Claridge broke through on the right, upping the score to 1 - 8, much to the home crowd's dismay. After 88 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave C. Pufu a chance to increase the lead for Caupolican, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 9. A drive down the left side allowed D. Moses to get in close and score another goal for Caupolican after 88 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 10. Possession in this half belonged to Caupolican, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.

Most important Nothingham player was N. Izeta. On the other hand, L. Kögel's play was disheartening. The most dominating Caupolican player was without a doubt A. Košutić. T. Philippon was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 10.
