A scorching day at SANPIO, where 26675 spectators were in place for today's match. Edgar Gisler-Regli was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Gonçalo Magalhães and Manuele Li Mandri. ROSPIO started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Periccioli - Boccabianca, Buttitta, Paone - Missiroli, Fracassi, Pyšný, Riolo, Lagreca - Scandella, Italiano.

Neffas decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players took the field: Ceretta - Alistar, Hambeck, Hasseler - Bębenkowski, Frisa, Thierstein, Skogvold, Boccia - Meles, van Dortmond.

Neffas seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. The goal for 1 - 0 was a funny story: after 11 minutes the seemingly nonchalant lob from ROSPIO's A. Missiroli landed at the feet of J. Scandella who sidefooted it into the net - nice goal! J. Scandella had a fantastic opportunity to put ROSPIO up another goal 12 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. ROSPIO's A. Riolo had an excellent opportunity after 13 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! ROSPIO's F. Italiano was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 31 minutes. With 32 minutes played, J. Scandella could have brought this one home for ROSPIO as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. A. Missiroli unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. Halftime score was 1 - 0. ROSPIO had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.

The sunny day didn't make things easy for S. Alistar who didn't seem his usual powerful self on the pitch. The ROSPIO free kick 59 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of F. Italiano, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 2 - 0! After 61 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by D. Boccabianca might have resulted in another goal for ROSPIO. However, A. Ceretta made a spectacular save. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave H. Skogvold from Neffas a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 67 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! After 68 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and F. Italiano gave the ROSPIO supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 0. By now, the players in ROSPIO felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. U. Thierstein caught everyone off guard with a great opening pass - but unfortunately R. Bębenkowski was as surprised by the move as anybody else, and managed to miss the extraordinary opportunity. F. Frisa of Neffas seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 3 - 1 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by J. Meles. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of ROSPIO to 4 - 1 as F. Fracassi finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. ROSPIO enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.

ROSPIO's best player was J. Scandella. However, P. Lagreca made a disastrous appearance. Most important Neffas player was J. Meles. U. Thierstein turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 1.
