previous 2/4 next 4/4  CLASER 1 - 5 Trabslavonspor (381759450)

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and CLASERdome saw a crowd turnout of 21562. Peter Kullenstrand was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Udo Fässler and Jerzy Zawalski. CLASER decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Starters: Cecchinato - Caccamo, Jass, Arajärvi - Maistri, Rossato, Meoni, Stompor, Harms - Sgallari, Borrull.

Trabslavonspor started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: De Loreto - Badan, Nativo, Brandi - Valerio, Berktan, Boccia, Mondani, Mattiacci - Cruciani, Rontini.

M. Cecchinato looked great 12 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' C. Rontini. CLASER's P. Sgallari got himself booked for a foul. Trabslavonspor were forced into a substitution as C. Rontini couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing G. Leoni to come in off the bench. The referee showed Trabslavonspor's M. Nativo the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Due to a severely mistimed tackle, J. Borrull of CLASER spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave K. Arajärvi from CLASER a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 29 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Trabslavonspor's G. Leoni managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 30 minutes. 0 - 1. With the clock showing 38 minutes played, P. Sgallari equalised for CLASER after curling a free kick around the defensive wall to make the score 1 - 1. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Trabslavonspor, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.

As the 46 minute mark approached, the CLASER coach decided it was time for a substitution. A. Stompor reluctantly made way for R. Buschmann on the pitch. V. Boccia would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. A. Giaccardi entered the game for Trabslavonspor as the match clock showed 65 minutes. 77 minutes into the game, A. Mattiacci almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Trabslavonspor's G. Leoni demonstrated his famed speed as he raced past his marker and passed the ball to S. Cruciani who chipped it in for 1 - 2. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, CLASER's G. Jass was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 80 minutes. I. Masseretti was given a chance to change things around. Maybe due to the uphill battle the team was facing, the CLASER manager looked to change things around. After 80 minutes, P. Sgallari and I. Masseretti swapped positions on the field. E. Mercurelli was called on to replace CLASER's L. Meoni after 84 minutes following a nasty collision. After 85 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave A. Mattiacci a chance to increase the lead for Trabslavonspor, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 3. 87 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 4 as G. Leoni finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. D. Badan of Trabslavonspor took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 87 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 1 - 5. The players of Trabslavonspor now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Trabslavonspor had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

The most dominating CLASER player was without a doubt P. Sgallari. E. Mercurelli on the other hand, had a terrible day. Trabslavonspor's top performer was clearly D. Berktan. However, A. Mattiacci made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 5.
