Buizza in a scuffle towards the left of the goal, but in the end the ball was cleared over the dead ball line. Bologna's K. Mamalakis was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 17 minutes. Deeply put themselves up 2 - 0 when T. Alvarez broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Deeply's G. Valk swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. 40 minutes in, K. Mamalakis made an incredible run up the middle and nearly reduced the home side's lead, but R. Westerlund refused to let the ball slip by him. D. Buizza of Bologna received a yellow card after 42 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The visitors got a chance to pulling one back after 44 minutes, due to a defensive blunder leaving D. Milliņš completely unmarked. His strike was pathetic though, easy prey for the home side's keeper. With 44 minutes played, J. Fontaine of Deeply fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. Bologna claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

Content with how the game was proceeding, the Deeply coach let A. Sasomar replace X. Delbart after 52 minutes. G. Vergel had a fantastic opportunity to put Deeply up another goal 52 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. The Deeply players could smell victory in the air. P. Honc wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for B. Ask after 74 minutes. G. Valk wanted to play on, but the Deeply coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 74 minutes into the game by Ş. Penah. 77 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as V. Piperkov broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for Deeply. Bologna certainly deserved a goal after some stunning play down the left, but H. Antonaya just wasn't able to finish. Bologna had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

R. Westerlund performed admirably for Deeply. T. Johnsen on the other hand, had a terrible day. Bologna's best player was P. Saracini. However, M. Medagliani made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 0.
