(381928895)

16-06-2012 12.25
15809 spectators arrived at
Le roi Michel, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Alejandro Gardelliano was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Maximilian Mitterer and
Mariano Arangua.
Totinham started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
They fielded: Cardinale - Hulswit, Pedroso, Langer - Kardzis, Illiano, Stustad, Holländer, Petkov - Dzevyžis, Koro.
Cuorispezzati tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination.
Starters: Romualdi - Jurkka, Villette - Mattussi, Degani, Ketterer, Parusso, Agiato - Melucci, Bak, Talamonti.
Totinham were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks.
Cuorispezzati clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
P. Langer got himself booked. The manager of Totinham was not happy.
After 14 minutes,
P. Langer sent the corner kick right to
T. Koro who headed it sharply past the keeper. 1 - 0!
Totinham put themselves up 2 - 0 when
F. Illiano broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
J. Kardzis had a fantastic opportunity to put Totinham up another goal 29 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
Good work by the Cuorispezzati defensive line after 30 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found
F. Melucci alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide.
Totinham managed to extend their lead to 3 - 0 when
J. Kardzis cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
Some things can only be learned through experience, and
E. Parusso should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Totinham a goal with 42 minutes of the match played.
3 - 0 was the halftime score.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Totinham, with 57 percent of the ball.
Totinham had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as Totinham scored another to make it 4 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
T. Koro after 48 minutes.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Totinham lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
The Totinham players could smell victory in the air.
F. Illiano wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
M. Cecchinato after 60 minutes.
B. Bak nearly reduced the lead 62 minutes into the game, but a splendid one-handed save by
S. Cardinale prevented the attempt coming in from the right flank from hitting the back of the net.
The home crowd just couldn't believe it when
P. Langer missed a penalty after 64 minutes of the match.
M. Cecchinato could have put Totinham up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 65 minutes.
Totinham claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.
Totinham's top performer was clearly
M. Dzevyžis.
M. Cecchinato was a disappointment, however.
Cuorispezzati's best player was
D. Talamonti.
G. Mattussi turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 4 - 0.
