(383863940)

07-07-2012 15.30
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 43867 to
Piroska Utcai Fiúk Arena.
Xilberto de Castro was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Antonino Statti and
Léon Christin.
Piroska tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
The following players took the field: Castañé - Zilhão, Wapels, Penchev - Notenboom, Kaibás, Gyulay, Váncsa, Cavilli - Gzela, Vassen.
Kiszombor decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Bohács - Buda, Nádor, Kokkinopoulos - Bükszegi, Kácsor, Sipos, Hegedűs, Huszti - Lábas, Élő.
For their match strategy, Kiszombor had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible.
The guests took the lead 4 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in
B. Hegedűs scoring to make it 0 - 1.
Kiszombor's
A. Kokkinopoulos was shown a yellow card after 14 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
M. Castañé got a fingertip on
K. Élő's shot from the left 15 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal.
B. Lábas came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over
M. Castañé but overcooked it and hit the bar instead.
Piroska put pressure on the visitors' central defence 33 minutes into the game, but
E. Gzela couldn't find an opening.
0 - 1 was the halftime score.
Piroska claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Piroska's
K. Kaibás was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 46 minutes.
P. Szeli was given a chance to change things around.
With 60 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
G. Kácsor of Kiszombor to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 2.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Kiszombor lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
Piroska needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 75 minutes
E. Gzela made way for
T. Czingelly.
The home team's supporters got excited again when
Y. Penchev broke through the visitors' central defence and caught their keeper off guard, making it 1 - 2.
The referee showed Kiszombor's
B. Huszti the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Unfortunately for Piroska,
M. Castañé was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field.
S. Pribojszki replaced him.
The crowd chanted their encouragement as Piroska's
L. Cavilli came in from the right after 85 minutes and put the ball in the net to level the score at 2 - 2.
The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to
T. Czingelly, but the Piroska player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 3 - 2!
Kiszombor's
H. Bükszegi got himself booked for a foul.
Piroska had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.
The most dominating Piroska player was without a doubt
Á. Váncsa.
On the other hand,
S. Pribojszki's play was disheartening.
Kiszombor's best player was
G. Sipos.
However,
B. Huszti made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 3 - 2.
