Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 18000 to allaudiarena. Emre Otak was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Emil Nemes and Maciej Haśkiewicz. Olympique started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Starters: Olpak - Feola, Rothenaichner, Campisi - Beal, Ferrer, do Céu, Dorobanţu, Barthélémy - Voccoli, Snigerev.

Olympique clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. Rimpoce's Y. Laplace was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 20 minutes. Olympique's A. Beal had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 28 minutes having been played. O. Flinkstad was the replacement. Olympique had a chance to take the lead after V. Snigerev's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 36 minutes. It was obvious that team Olympique had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. Olympique took the lead 37 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as R. Barthélémy elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. A well-executed free kick by R. Barthélémy after 39 minutes made it 2 - 0 for Olympique. K. Valette was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was beautifully flicked on by L. Batut, but the ball bounced off the post to safety. Olympique solidified their lead at the 42 minute mark, as R. Barthélémy dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 0. This third goal completed a hattrick for R. Barthélémy. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Olympique lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. K. Valette's speed was almost enough to give Rimpoce a goal after 44 minutes, but his nice pass to T. Jupille was not taken care of properly. 3 - 0 was the score after the first half. Olympique had most of the ball, with 76 percent of possession.

48 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as M. do Céu broke through, making the score 4 - 0 for Olympique. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Olympique's R. Feola increasing the lead to 5 - 0. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Olympique, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. G. Voccoli squirmed through their central defence after 66 minutes, increasing the lead to 6 - 0. C. Lafaye's lack of experience almost gave Olympique a goal after 79 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Olympique to 7 - 0 as C. Campisi finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. The score became 8 - 0 at 87 minutes into the game, when Olympique were given a penalty which R. Barthélémy blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance! Possession in this half belonged to Olympique, who controlled the ball 81 percent of the time.

Most important Olympique player was G. Voccoli. R. Barthélémy was a disappointment, however. Rimpoce's top performer was clearly M. Alexandre. C. Billet on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 8 - 0.
