(387050520)

01-07-2012 04.45
Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
Semple Stadium saw a crowd turnout of 42748.
Alfredo Riscanebo was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Robustiano Maraver and
Bei Cheng Xing.
BBFC had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
They fielded: Bernal - Volovšek, Belghith, Um - Pajtlingerov, Tandrup, Scatolini, Idoate, Veleiro - Klintskär, Pinto.
Superstars decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
Lineup: Holub - Drietomský, Darwish, Weissberg - Čorak, Gòdia, Kim, Kim, Giacomelli - Silangit, Vidanía.
The wings were the focus of most of BBFC's attacks today.
Superstars seemed to prefer attacking in the middle.
BBFC took the lead, 1 - 0, after a penalty 5 minutes into the match.
X. Idoate scored from the penalty spot.
BBFC managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when
X. Idoate cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of BBFC lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
Superstars's
D. Silangit was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 14 minutes.
The Superstars free kick 32 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of
D. Silangit, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 2 - 1!
40 minutes into the game,
J. Čorak had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
H. Kim.
2 - 1 was the halftime score.
This part of the game was a standoff between the teams in terms of possession.
BBFC's
T. Volovšek skillfully knocked a pass over the top after 50 minutes, and that was received by
J. Klintskär who just managed to slot it past the opposing goalkeeper for 3 - 1.
A counterattack by BBFC after 60 minutes could have resulted in a goal, but
P. Tandrup, coming in on the left, couldn't get the shot off.
Superstars's
Z. Darwish was shown a yellow card after 61 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
A loud groan was heard from the fans of BBFC, as
J. Veleiro left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match.
S. Potapov took his place on the field.
After 74 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
D. Um gave the BBFC supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 4 - 1.
With 77 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock, Superstars showed some good skill and were able to reduce the score to 4 - 2 when
N. Kim got past the home side's central defenders right in front of the goal.
BBFC's
A. Scatolini had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 78 minutes having been played.
R. Peñarrubia was the replacement.
Superstars enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.
Most important BBFC player was
P. Tandrup.
S. Potapov was a disappointment, however.
Superstars's best player was
L. Gòdia.
However,
H. Kim made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 4 - 2.
