Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 31497 to Stadium Arcadium. Elie Lorentz was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Hugo Terenzano and Cabbar Özçelik. KPB's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 38 minutes gone, but F. Korczyk's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. KPB mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 40 minutes, but V. Lino was unable to convert from short range. F. Korczyk finished off a quick charge from the left of the field by chipping the ball just past the home side's keeper, making the score 1 - 1 42 minutes into the match. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Krosnianka enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

Good work by the KPB defensive line after 54 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found C. Benquet alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. KPB took the lead after 60 minutes making the score 1 - 2. P. Regala placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. With 61 minutes played, Ł. Dulat of Krosnianka fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. The bench was restless, and with 65 minutes passed Krosnianka's coach gave M. Hałabis the opportunity the player had been hoping for. S. Hełmecki reluctantly left the field. Krosnianka needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 70 minutes M. Guillot made way for A. Knuutti. After 75 minutes, Krosnianka switched G. Kölbl with P. Mrowczyk, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. Possession in this half belonged to Krosnianka, who controlled the ball 61 percent of the time.
