Renik suddenly found himself completely free on the right wing when a counterattack by Kopytka caught their opponents by surprise. Only a great save by the opposing keeper prevented him from scoring. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Widzew.Ł, with 63 percent of the ball.

Good work by the Kopytka defensive line after 55 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found J. Zabawa alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. There was concern in the stands when, at the 63 minute mark, Kopytka's T. Gorlikowski hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. 0 - 1 was the score with 68 minutes played, after A. Sáez Gutiérrez cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Widzew.Ł. Widzew.Ł enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.

E. Alcayaga performed admirably for Kopytka. J. Zabawa was a disappointment, however. Widzew.Ł's top performer was clearly P. Zielaskiewicz. M. Cruz turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 1.
