Krainz, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Boys lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Boys's A. Krainz struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 5 - 0 after 36 minutes. That made three goals for A. Krainz and he was marked down for the hat trick. The teams went for the halftime break at 5 - 0. Boys had most of the ball, with 81 percent of possession.

Boys increased the lead as J. Álvarez Cabiro struck to make the score 6 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Boys to 7 - 0 as V. Natov finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. After 65 minutes, A. Rainer put Boys ahead 8 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. The Boys free kick 73 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. The manager of Boys was not happy. Possession in this half belonged to Boys, who controlled the ball 84 percent of the time.
