LVV claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 79 percent.

The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that squadra had solid organisation. With 52 minutes played, LVV put themselves up 0 - 6 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was H. Ceyssens. An amazing free kick flew past the home keeper 55 minutes into the match, putting LVV ahead 0 - 7. G. Rutigliano was the scorer. H. Ceyssens received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 59 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 8. The LVV fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. H. Ceyssens increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 9. By then H. Ceyssens had scored three goals - a hat trick! Some fine movement on the left led to a LVV goal after 80 minutes, making it 0 - 10. B. Morritz was noted down as the scorer. LVV enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 77 percent of possession.
