17265 fans braved the pouring rain at
De Pijnakker.
Fredrik Skjerping was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Gaspar Ramalho and
Tsugahara Mizumaki.
Victoria7 started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Palmarini - Versluis, Gusenburger, Tomsen - Kirnbauer, Koers, Malul, Amadei, Vanbosterhaut - van der Giessen, Ajduković.
Breed decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
Lineup: Ştirban - Barros, Carlson, Fuesselberger - Vazán, Kolkman, Hoving, Perschmann, Óbidos - Kolkman, Azzarini.
Breed were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks.
This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when
G. Kolkman slipped through the defence on the right to come up alone against
C. Palmarini, but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes.
After 12 minutes, Breed put themselves up 0 - 1, as
G. Kolkman finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot.
M. Gusenburger was having a great game - if anything the pouring rain seemed to be spurring him on!
With 20 minutes played,
M. Fuesselberger nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar.
T. Versluis, who often relies on his speed, had a rotten day on the drenched grass.
After 37 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave
F. Vazán a chance to increase the lead for Breed, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2.
38 minutes in, Victoria7's
T. Versluis received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
It was 0 - 2 at the break.
Possession in this half belonged to Breed, who controlled the ball 64 percent of the time.
With 58 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
F. Vazán of Breed to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 3.
Confident in their lead, Breed's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
Some fine movement on the left led to a Breed goal after 65 minutes, making it 0 - 4.
M. Barros was noted down as the scorer.
75 minutes into the game,
L. Tomsen had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
R. Bodewes.
Some things can only be learned through experience, and
A. Kolkman should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Victoria7 a goal with 76 minutes of the match played.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Breed, with 69 percent of the ball.
Victoria7's best player was
M. Gusenburger.
I. van der Giessen was a disappointment, however.
Breed's top performer was clearly
D. Perschmann.
A. Kolkman on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 0 - 4.
