(392337431)

19-06-2012 19.00
22504 punters turned up at
Paolo Mazza, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came.
Erik Stokke was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Daniel Chilavert and
Aytürk Taru.
Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this
Emilia Romagna derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents.
ICAM had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
The following players had been chosen: Iafrate - Garoldi, Fioppo, Cerofolini - Falasconi, Sparacino, Del Brocco, Boccia, Bergianti - Salmi, Bonasia.
ZANATESE started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
Starters: Montevecchi - Agnoluzzi, Pimentel, Szychowiak - Van 'T Hoff, Falegnami, Mauceri, Gansler, Gadowski - Soutullo, Lumbroso.
ICAM's
D. Bergianti's long shot really ought to have found the net 6 minutes into the match, but it fell just wide of the target.
7 minutes into the match, ZANATESE nearly took the lead, as
J. Gadowski broke through on the right.
A. Iafrate made the save, however.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
D. Pimentel got himself booked. The manager of ZANATESE was not happy.
P. Boccia gave ICAM the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in ICAM's
M. Falasconi increasing the lead to 2 - 0.
The referee showed ZANATESE's
D. Agnoluzzi the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Unfortunately for ICAM,
U. Bonasia was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field.
A. Meroni replaced him.
ZANATESE were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 39 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to
I. Soutullo, who smashed it home to make the score 2 - 1.
The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1.
ZANATESE claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.
ZANATESE levelled the score after 67 minutes to make it 2 - 2, as
A. Mauceri struck home after a fine midfield combination through the centre, which left him completely unmarked.
E. Van 'T Hoff of ZANATESE was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
The home keeper expected a move to the right, but
D. Pimentel surprised him with a free kick aimed the other way 77 minutes into the match. 2 - 3 for ZANATESE.
M. Falasconi almost seemed to dance around
W. Szychowiak, his movements were so smooth. Unfortunately for ICAM, his finish ended up on the wrong side of the post.
I. Soutullo could have put his team up another goal 82 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post.
When
E. Van 'T Hoff made yet another studs-first tackle after 83 minutes, the referee was obliged to book the ZANATESE player for the second time, sending him off the pitch.
Possession in this half belonged to ZANATESE, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.
ICAM's top performer was clearly
B. Sparacino.
A. Iafrate turned in a dismal performance, however.
Most important ZANATESE player was
Z. Falegnami.
J. Gadowski on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 2 - 3.
