20-06-2012 21.45
A scorching day at
DoubleF Stadium, where 24274 spectators were in place for today's match.
Tjerk Westinga was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Orell Ungricht and
Mattias Gustavsson.
DoubleF tactics involved an interesting 5-3-2 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Węglarz - Gessenauer, Gelmirez, Cotecchia, van Dongen, Plavšić - Ifrach, Kohler, Argonz - Vuissoz, Kuhelniy.
ritaline started off with a 3-4-3 lineup.
Lineup: Scaramozzino - Oliveira, Train, Passing - Miez, Trillo, Schejbal, Bulder - Hudák, Werpachowski, Shrubb.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
M. Passing from ritaline a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 6 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
A loud groan was heard from the fans of DoubleF, as
N. Plavšić left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match.
E. Riečičar took his place on the field.
Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 9 minutes into the match, and
D. Shrubb wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors.
It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why
K. Miez found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork.
With a shot curled in from just outside the middle of the penalty area after 25 minutes played,
N. Kuhelniy of DoubleF made the score 1 - 1.
ritaline's
C. Hudák managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 33 minutes. 1 - 2.
DoubleF put pressure on the visitors' central defence 37 minutes into the game, but
J. Argonz couldn't find an opening.
A. Ifrach of DoubleF received a yellow card after 38 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
After 40 minutes a very unfortunate collision in the penalty area led to DoubleF's
S. Vuissoz being carried off the pitch and replaced by
B. Ângulo.
Halftime score was 1 - 2.
DoubleF had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.
After 69 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
W. Bulder to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 3.
70 minutes had been played and the home team was awarded a penalty. The guests' keeper dived the right way, but
J. Gelmirez was still able to reduce the score to 2 - 3.
After 77 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
D. Werpachowski who increased ritaline's lead to 2 - 4.
After this, you could see that the players of ritaline were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
J. Trillo got himself booked. The manager of ritaline was not happy.
With 86 minutes played,
K. Gessenauer of DoubleF fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
DoubleF's
R. Kohler was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 87 minutes.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by DoubleF, with 52 percent of the ball.
DoubleF's top performer was clearly
J. Argonz.
However,
E. Riečičar made a disastrous appearance.
ritaline's best player was
J. Trillo.
On the other hand,
L. Train's play was disheartening.
The match ends 2 - 4.
