(392558533)

19-06-2012 18.30
Clear skies welcomed the 1370 spectators who had made their way to
Bloodground.
Adalfried Reinhart was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Adamson Storie and
Salvador Pérez.
A 5-4-1 alignment was the formation of choice for FCG.
The following players had been chosen: Schlieder - Hoeltzenbein, Stolzer, Heiter, Silcher, Rosseel - Pichelmann, Marschnig, Heppenheim, Sehnert - Zacha.
sabotage had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation.
The following players took the field: Bontekoe - Spala, Jorgensen - Bastilani, Grifoni, Okaygün, Isojärvi, Belsky Crespo - Bacà, Tancredi, Bohl.
FCG were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks.
14 minutes into the game,
G. Okaygün almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
A. Hoeltzenbein got himself booked. The manager of FCG was not happy.
The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of sabotage's
G. Tancredi after 23 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead.
H. Stolzer of FCG received a yellow card after 24 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
After 29 minutes sabotage's
G. Tancredi contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game.
After 31 minutes of game time,
F. Spala had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but
M. Schlieder was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner.
0 - 1 was the score after the first half.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by sabotage, with 53 percent of the ball.
Some things can only be learned through experience, and
H. Stolzer should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting sabotage a goal with 51 minutes of the match played.
Almost all the way down to the corner flag, FCG's
P. Pichelmann somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for
H. Zacha, who struck for 1 - 1.
FCG were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings.
With 79 minutes played,
K. Heiter of FCG fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
G. Tancredi had a good try after 84 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide.
J. Isojärvi came close to putting the visiting team one up 86 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but
M. Schlieder managed to tip the ball to a corner.
Possession in this half belonged to sabotage, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.
FCG's top performer was clearly
H. Zacha.
However,
G. Rosseel made a disastrous appearance.
G. Jorgensen performed admirably for sabotage.
L. Grifoni turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 1 - 1.
