The crowd of 24948 turning up at jämäkät Arena today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. With 2 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. B. Stefaniak put the ball away for 0 - 1. With 10 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed M. Daulne of WBS to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 2. B. Koot was uncomfortable with the soggy pitch as he couldn't move the ball around with his usual grace. WBS's B. Catinan was shown a yellow card after 36 minutes for slicing down an opponent. B. Augsberger increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 3. At this point, it was obvious that the players of WBS lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. B. Catinan came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over G. Tılsım but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 3. WBS had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

Had it not been for one of the home defenders, B. Stefaniak would have put WBS up another goal 61 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. After 63 minutes R. Hack could have reduced the lead with a blistering strike from the left wing, had it not been for an excellent block by the visitors' keeper. The referee showed Jämäkät's R. Hack the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. A. Mulazzani was, after 73 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper G. Tılsım made the save. With 74 minutes played, WBS's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to B. Stefaniak he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 0 - 4. Possession in this half belonged to WBS, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.

Most important Jämäkät player was D. Ameur. O. Angelva was a disappointment, however. WBS's best player was P. Wickerberg. P. Wihervaara on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 4.
