Clear skies welcomed the 12000 spectators who had made their way to cru del sur Arena. Stefan Fjelskär was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jochen Deffner and Flemming Povlsen. cru decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Saracatrasca. Lineup: Piraino - Foglia, Jochumsen, Cambraia - Ayechu, Stakanov, Alba, Le Parc - Ortiz, Gardel, Marichal.

Saracatrasca's S. Gardel gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 24 minutes with a superb strike from the right. J. Di Mauro charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equaliser for cru, but the shot went well wide of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as G. Ayechu finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. After this, you could see that the players of Saracatrasca were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. After 42 minutes, Saracatrasca's G. Le Parc burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 3. L. Palacios was called on to replace Saracatrasca's S. Gardel after 43 minutes following a nasty collision. J. Ortiz received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 43 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 4. The Saracatrasca fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. 0 - 4 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Saracatrasca, with 57 percent of the ball.

In an effort to secure the lead, Saracatrasca changed their tactic after 48 minutes. L. Palacios of Saracatrasca took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 63 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 5. The referee showed cru's R. Porcel the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. J. Ortiz was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Saracatrasca's G. Tiralongo had to come off the bench. Saracatrasca's G. Piraino skillfully knocked a pass over the top after 75 minutes, and that was received by L. Palacios who just managed to slot it past the opposing goalkeeper for 0 - 6. Some things can only be learned through experience, and C. Falero should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Saracatrasca a goal with 78 minutes of the match played. After 80 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave P. Alba a chance to increase the lead for Saracatrasca, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 7. An amazing free kick flew past the home keeper 83 minutes into the match, putting Saracatrasca ahead 0 - 8. G. Le Parc was the scorer. G. Tiralongo's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 85 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to N. Marichal who knocked it in for Saracatrasca. 0 - 9! A quick counter attack by cru forced the opponent's defender to give away a freekick. J. Nuñez was allowed to take it quickly by the referee, much to the dismay of the goalkeeper who wasn't prepared. 1 - 9! Possession in this half belonged to Saracatrasca, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

R. Porcel performed admirably for cru. Z. Pérez Pérez on the other hand, had a terrible day. Saracatrasca's best player was L. Palacios. G. Piraino turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 9.
