Astaman forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down. Srivijaya had most of the ball, with 61 percent of possession.

With the scores being level after 90 minutes, the match went into extra time. A. Pritzelwitz's tried to storm through the defence after 93 minutes, but B. Suganda was just too fast to shake off and the rest of the defence got back to cover. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Srivijaya's L. Kreft after 96 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. This put an end to extra time, making Srivijaya the winners. Most important Spanky player was O. Tapuchi. N. Sulistyo on the other hand, had a terrible day. T. Azis performed admirably for Srivijaya. However, P. Mann made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 1.
