Dark skies made the crowd of 1696 at
The Mandelbrot Set a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Felix Vugolle was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Christian Bernfeldt and
Matteo Abuauad.
A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Chaoticians.
Starters: Schwarz - Wilson, Tejada - Smith, Kenyon, Ashcraft, Muse, Werner - Shields, Tobias, Gruber.
11Valerones started off with a 5-3-2 lineup.
They fielded: Ruponen - Serrano, Hatzithoma, Yun, Estor, Higuera - Bunyard, Pescina, Racławski - Neto Gomes, Español.
Chaoticians used their skill at pressing to cut off the attack angles of their opponents all over the field.
For their match strategy, 11Valerones had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible.
Chaoticians pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times.
31 minutes into the game, 11Valerones had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
solid.
36 minutes in, 11Valerones's
J. Higuera received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
At this time in the match, Chaoticians were using their skill at pressing to successfully stifle the game.
After 40 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as 11Valerones found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
inadequate.
42 minutes into the game, 11Valerones seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
weak.
With the clock showing 43 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of 11Valerones resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by
M. Pescina in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high.
After a fine move down the middle
L. Shields nearly gave the home side a goal after 44 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide.
The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0.
Chaoticians claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 68 percent.
The 11Valerones players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a
solid organisation when the game started again.
Slack defending gave Chaoticians a chance to take the lead with 48 minutes played, but
W. Tobias's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition.
11Valerones's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 49 minutes gone, but
M. Pescina's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper.
Chaoticians's talent at pressing frustrated the spectators as the game became a dire midfield struggle.
55 minutes in, 11Valerones appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
weak.
After 57 minutes, the defensive line of 11Valerones created a counterattack through the middle that gave
J. Español a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar.
After 59 minutes, the Chaoticians coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
C. Muse off the field.
J. Goff took his place.
Chaoticians's ability to press all over the field frequently paid dividends.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Chaoticians, with 61 percent of the ball.
With the scores being level after 90 minutes, the match went into extra time.
Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of 11Valerones was able to get his message across, and raised 11Valerones's organisation to
solid.
91 minutes into the game, Chaoticians wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
S. Werner gave
N. Beck a quick hug as he left the field.
As the clock reached 91 minutes, 11Valerones decided to regroup.
J. Bunyard gave
G. Serrano a little pat on the back as they changed positions on the pitch.
After 91 minutes, the 11Valerones coach made a sign to
M. Racławski, who soon changed positions with
J. Higuera.
Chaoticians could have put themselves ahead after 93 minutes but
R. Smith missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right.
97 minutes into the game, 11Valerones seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
inadequate level of organisation.
Still tied after extra time, the crowd was buzzing as the teams prepared for a penalty shoot-out to determine the winner.

E. Wilson kept his cool as he faced down
J. Ruponen. His composure paid off as he scored easily for 1 - 0.
11Valerones's
J. Ruponen coolly put the ball past
M. Schwarz. 1 - 1.
Chaoticians's
M. Schwarz didn't look like he was confident as he stepped up, and produced a badly struck penalty - right into the arms of
J. Ruponen. The score remained 1 - 1.
11Valerones's
P. Hatzithoma looked nervous even as he was putting the ball on the spot. He didn't take much of a run up, and his weak shot was easily saved by the keeper.
Chaoticians's
L. Shields showed he has nerves of steel when it comes to penalties, easily changing the score to 2 - 1.
11Valerones's
J. Higuera cockily booted the ball with a short-and-fast instep. The penalty, going just wide of the mark, didn't produce a goal.
Chaoticians's
D. Kenyon was relaxed as he smoothly put the ball in the net. 3 - 1!
11Valerones's
Y. Yun looked like he knew exactly where he wanted to put the ball, but unfortunately his shot went wide of the left hand post. Still 3 - 1.
Clearly nervous from the start, Chaoticians's
P. Tejada took a long run up, but could only blast the ball over the bar. The score remains 3 - 1.
11Valerones's
A. Neto Gomes penalty shot was very well placed but
M. Schwarz went the right way, blocking it spectacularly. The score was still 3 - 1.
Most important Chaoticians player was
M. Schwarz.
However,
N. Beck made a disastrous appearance.
The most dominating 11Valerones player was without a doubt
G. Serrano.
A. Neto Gomes on the other hand, had a terrible day.
