Dark skies made the crowd of 329 at Ziom Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off. Bastian Treiber was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Farin Heidel and Jyri Leiniö. It was an obvious ambition of Obrońcy to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. At 15 minutes played, C. Gãlãteanu came in from the right with the intention of giving Obrońcy the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. It was showtime for artist C. Gãlãteanu who showed off his technical mastery when he rounded D. Tomana and finished with a goal to make the score 1 - 0. The home team will be cursing W. Peroń for weeks; he finished off a great pass from the left, knocking it past the keeper without a problem. The match was level at 1 - 1 after 26 minutes. With 27 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. W. Peroń put the ball away for 1 - 2. Given a free kick close to the byline, Obrońcy tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let E. Modenesi slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 2 - 2, 29 minutes into the game. S. Ilgaz of Mięsne received a yellow card after 30 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 36 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Obrońcy found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to passable. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 37 minutes allowed W. Peroń to score for Mięsne. The scoreboard now read 2 - 3. This third goal completed a hattrick for W. Peroń. 38 minutes into the game, Obrońcy had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to inadequate. 2 - 3 was the halftime score. The Obrońcy players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid organisation when the game started again. J. Wollf of Mięsne took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 57 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 2 - 4. The bench was restless, and with 66 minutes passed Obrońcy's coach gave A. Kalderon the opportunity the player had been hoping for. F. Flórián reluctantly left the field. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Obrońcy's T. Kosel was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 70 minutes. V. Glushkov was given a chance to change things around. 72 minutes into the game, Obrońcy seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to weak. It was obvious that Obrońcy had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. 76 minutes into the match, Obrońcy's R. Dolban collected a ball sent down the right and put it in the back of the net, narrowing the score to 3 - 4. Obrońcy put pressure on the visitors' central defence 87 minutes into the game, but C. Gãlãteanu couldn't find an opening. Obrońcy were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. The crowd was on its feet 89 minutes into the match, as Obrońcy's R. Dolban found himself unmarked in front of the goal after a dash up the left side. He calmly put away the 4 - 4 equaliser. 89 minutes into the match and the home team took a 5 - 4 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Obrońcy was A. Fotyga.
