Confident in their lead, Knox's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. With 37 minutes played, Knox put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was F. Sanchez. BARSDAN's E. Azuera was shown a yellow card after 39 minutes for slicing down an opponent. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave C. Şonea from BARSDAN a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 40 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 3. BARSDAN claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 63 percent.

BARSDAN needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 46 minutes H. Haick made way for O. Savatović. With 46 minutes played, the BARSDAN coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. W. Smolira came on, J. Kraxenberger had to leave the fray. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, BARSDAN's E. Azuera was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 46 minutes. L. Demeijer was given a chance to change things around. C. Şonea challenged the visitors' central defence eagerly, producing a good chance 48 minutes into the game as he went for a through ball. But, as so many times before, the guests' defensive efforts got the best of it. A swift counterattack by Knox resulted in a free kick that J. Öhrborg elegantly twisted into the goal - 0 - 4! After 53 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed F. Eisses to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 5. J. Öhrborg of Knox took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 54 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 6. W. Konowałek did everything he could to get one back for his BARSDAN, but keeper A. Spaller denied him with a spectacular block. 87 minutes in, BARSDAN's M. Thiels received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Possession in this half belonged to BARSDAN, who controlled the ball 65 percent of the time.

F. Canedo performed admirably for BARSDAN. On the other hand, V. Crişan's play was disheartening. Knox's top performer was clearly G. Besouro. M. Di Gianpasquale was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 6.
