A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 1247 to San Martin de Porres. Fred Pignon was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Igors Vijups and Jeanloup Stammbach. Sporting__Cristal clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. ctm's A. Elizburu gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 21 minutes with a superb strike from the right. After 26 minutes, ctm's R. Hassler burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2. Sporting__Cristal nearly produced a goal as D. Malpica set up J. Xuara for a strike from a seemingly impossible angle. However he put the shot narrowly wide. The home crowd was not impressed when A. Madrid came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 35 minutes. ctm were now up 0 - 3. S. Wiglaf dispatched a majestic long shot 36 minutes into the match, but missed the goal by a few metres. K. Ochi kept the home side in the game with a magnificent save when J. Foley delivered an almost perfect free kick to the far post. 0 - 3 was the score after the first half. ctm claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 86 percent.

秦. 仁洋 (Renyang) increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 4. 63 minutes into the game, Sporting__Cristal seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a solid level of organisation. 69 minutes in, Sporting__Cristal's D. Malpica received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. ctm's J. Foley missed a penalty shot 71 minutes into the contest. Elizburu to get in close and score another goal for ctm after 82 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 6. At this point, it was obvious that the players of ctm lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The visitors added to their lead 84 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by ctm's J. Foley slid just past the home keeper. 0 - 7. ctm enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 91 percent of possession.

Sporting__Cristal's best player was K. Rataj. A. Gallo on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important ctm player was L. Malul. On the other hand, M. Farro's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 7.
