The new old Norge NT!

Last season we shocked the world winning the World Cup again after a lot of time.

We were tipped to fail this term (also considering we found ourselves in the "death group" with the worse possible fixtures) but we're still fighting and we're showing we never give up and we always act as a team, always with the famous "eye of the tiger".

After 7 matches our NT will have now to play a friendly so this week there's few to discuss regarding tactics and I took this free time to write something regarding our players.

Before the start of the World Cup Qualifiers I thought we should have used some young players but form was against this choice.

We're anyway playing with various players not involved in our glorious and winning campaign so let's take a look at our team in details!

Goalkeepers

Endre Muller ((130399034)), 31y, exp.divine: our GK hero, he's a complete keeper. He lacks a little bit stamina but it isn't a big problem.

Nils-Petter Trulsen ((157576736)), 29y, exp.magical: he's got everything... except a little bit of luck regarding form :D

Defenders

Bjørn Salte ((54090547)), 36y, exp.divine: a former national hero he came back in the team also for his coaching qualities (he's our leader!) but he can be useful also as defender (also using his good playmaking skill).

Eivind Persson ((199967571)), 25y, head, exp.excellent: one of the new guy, he's a wonderful fullback and with training he'll become a fantastic player. Now he's a little bit raw but he's gaining experience and his head speciality can be precious.

Geir Hansen ((194014517)), 26y, exp.utopian: a surprising call, his skills aren't so good but he joined NT uncapped and with magical experience. His 49 U20-caps were the necessary boost to make him a NT player, at the moment he's low on form but he already played 2 matches.

Göran 'Nökis' Alexandersson ((201027053)), 26y, exp.titanic: another surprising call, he joined the team also because the other SP-taker were out of form while he was in excellent shape. He was uncapped and, so far, he played 6 times showing his good Set Pieces skills, scoring and kicking corners. He's looking to add more and to become a regular.

Jahn Bjørke ((129092880)), 31y, exp.utopian: our great fullback, so far he was unlucky with his form but he's continuing to train hard and his progresses are good. More than Persson he can help very well our midfield and be useful also on counterattacks, he's also stronger on attack but weaker on defence.

Ruben Rindahl ((89776132)), 33y, exp.divine: he didn't play the crucial matches of the last campaign and he came back with fantastic form because he wanted to be part again of something big.

Midfielders

Anders Hanstad ((129092652)), 31y, head, exp.extraterrestrial: our only head midfielder is a regular starter considering his very good skills and his speciality. And he's also a defensive minded coach.

Andreas Kommedal ((144509495)), 30y, exp.supernatural: not a regular starter but someone who's always ready to give his contribution to the team, often starting from the bench. A classical solid performer.

Hans Berg ((183558009)), 27y, exp.supernatural: he already played in some friendly in past but he was always out of form when needed so he never played an official match until this season. So far his form has been very high and also for this reason he always played.

Iver Rothborg ((135574603)), 32y, technical, exp.extraterrestrial: our multiskilled technical playmaker, he has a lot of nice b-skills and can play in various positions, including winger and TDF (technical defensive forward).

Leif Maurstad ((152912321)), 30y, exp.supernatural: he started to play in NT at an old age because he missed something regarding his playmaking skill. Now he's ready to play and to contribute in everything, he's our best multiskilled midfielder and while his form is high it's unlikely to see him out of our team.

Martin Myge ((144649889)), 30y, technical, exp.divine: an all-around midfielder who's still learning his trade on defending. A World Cup winner, we couldn't live without him!

Mathias Linge ((94295231)), 33y, unpredictable, exp.divine: our special midfielder multiskilled on defending. He can play in both the positions without any kind of problem. His excellent form in the first part of the campaign made him a surprising call (considering the age we were expected to play without him).

Trond Fjellstad ((129088948)), 31y, exp.extraterrestrial: he knows how to rule the midfield and his b-skills make him available also to play in different positions. And he already gained the coaching badge, obviously he's attacking minded.

Wingers

Leiv Fauske ((112654337)), 32y, quick, exp.divine: totally out of form during the last World Cup, he's been called because he should have been our neutral coach but, as usual, his fine performances will be more than useful.

Tom Sandøy ((89899700)), 33y, head, exp.divine: age is probably the main concern about him because his skills are still first-class. Experience is always valuable and he knows that this will be the last chance of his career but with a Gold Medal in his pocket it isn't so bad.

Ørjan Strand ((184229388)), 27y, head, exp.worldclass: he was tipped to join NT for official matches since long time ago but, for various reasons, it happened just in time to be on the bench in the World Cup final matches. He has to gain a little bit more experience and to continue to progress but he's ready to have a big impact.

Forwards

Alex Myrvoll ((146716991)), 30y, head, exp.mythical: a classical n.9 forward, he's there to score and use his head to gain chances.

Anders 'Lynet' Ødegård ((143662806)), 30y, quick, exp.divine: he's the typical player who like to score and to create chances playing also at the wings. A World Cup star, he's the man.

Dag Melby ((142673057)), 31y, quick, exp.extraterrestrial: a quick forward, he doesn't score too much but his contribution to the team is always really appreciated and his form is, so far, damn good.

Henrik Sundli ((143662410)), 30y, unpredictable, exp.extraterrestrial: he can create goals from nothing and he was already decisive in our match against Kenya doing that. His skills are really good and he can add a different dimension to our game.

Compared to other NTs we're not that good but we have something that make us a difficult side to play against: heart, desire, passion and commitment.
