Quitting Hattrick? Think of the children!

We sometimes believe that we'll play Hattrick forever. But there comes a time in most managers lives where circumstances change and they cannot devote any time to Hattrick any longer.

Here's a few things you should keep in mind when you're thinking about quitting Hattrick.

We've all been there, you've remembered that youth player that was promoted a few seasons ago and you decide to look them up to see how they're going. However, you find that the player either no longer exists or their team is now bot-controlled and you curse the earth that they've been lost forever.

On the other side of the coin, there might be situations where you might not be finding enough time to spend on your team, or something has come up in your life taking you away from most things, including your team. There are some things you could or should consider, if you have the ability to, when you make that inevitable decision to actually quit playing Hattrick and never log in again.

1. Tell Someone.

Specifically, the other managers in your series. Each of these managers are scouting you, and spending time researching your every move (supposedly). Letting them know that you'll be quitting HT relieves them of some of the legwork they do each week.

Also, unless you live under a rock, it is probable that you have made some friends along the way and letting them know, a heads up that you're leaving Hattrick could be appreciated more than you know.

2. Sell your players

Yep. All of them. This is almost more important than the first one. If you're serious about quitting, then you don't care where they end up. List them all for zero and be done with it. It's possible that not all your players will sell, however, the important ones, or the ones that others deem important will. The former youths, the potential NT players and other players who are still trainable. Most of these players will have former clubs, where releasing them would also provide further income to these clubs.

Even if you decide to continue log in to return one day and have a stab at the cup from division five, you will have a nice nest-egg to do it with.

That's pretty much it. Short and sweet. It's not compulsory that you do consider these things but it helps everyone in more ways than you expect if you do.
