R3: Lowest ranked survivor

Following on from last season's interviews, we've taken the same format, and remixed some of the questions for this week. Many thanks to Danny for taking the time out from his busy managerial schedule to agree to post this interview for our enjoyment!

1 Your team, The Mandem (59972), is facing Premiership champions & double Cup winners Low Fogrigg in R3 of the cup on Tuesday. How does it feel?

First of all I am delighted to even make it to R3 of the English cup, To know that I face the current champions in next round doesn't fill me with great confidence for making it through to R4.

2 What is your favourite tune of 2013, please also provide a link to vimeo/utube/soundcloud for us to listen?

For me, this has to be "Rap God" by Eminem, The guy is just a lyrical genius!

3 You took over your team on 30/10/12 and have been knocked out of the Cup in R1 every season before now, so it looks like you've started to make progress. How did you find hattrick, and what have you learned that might help other managers who also have young teams?

I was introduced to hattrick by my step-dad and after my first season. I then transferred to VI.88 in order to be in the same division as him (and a few other family and friends). We're a tight little league and currently placed 2nd in the series ranking. If there's one key thing I've learned since I took over my team, it is that dominating midfield is crucial, and also I've learned that it isn't wise to waste money on the transfer market.

4 How much is a pint of beer in your local & what's your usual tipple?

I usually just stay on the lager, and its £2.70 for pint of Carling.

5 The England community has recently voted in Darth Hansen to be our National Team manager. He's the first ever non-English based manager to ever get the job. Did you vote, and what is your view on this development?

I can't say that I did vote but it will be interesting to see where he takes the team. Hopefully he'll push us further up the global ranking.

6 What skill are you training at the moment and why?

I train playmaking, because its the skill my team seems to be lacking in order to progress.

7 You currently have the Gold supporter package, but are only a member of one Federation. You could do this with the silver supporter package, which would be cheaper, but please explain what you like most about it that gives you value for money?

I enjoy all the extra perks you get with gold package, I can't say that it's an excessive amount of money to pay every month.

8 According to our internet research, The Mandem means a group of men or boys, and Tottenham had a street gang called The Mandem on the Broadwater Farm Estate. Your profile says that you support Leeds, so what's the story behind your team name selection?

Well, when I was a teenager it's what we used to call our little clique to make us sound 'ard'. It sounds pretty cool doesn't it?

9 Tell us how you met your OH (or last 'conquest' if single)?

Well. I'm currently single but I met the last 'conquest' through my ex girlfriend... Don't hate the player!

10 What was the best movie of 2013?

This one is hard to say, because there haven't been that many great releases, and I don't get to the cinema that often. I saw a film the other day called "Identity Thief" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2024432/) That was released in 2013, and wasn't too bad.
