Rampaging Raccoons Interview (Cup R4)

Rampaging Raccoons Interview: Confessions of a Rampager.

1 Your team, The Rampaging Raccoons is facing the Stinging Scorpions tonight in R4 of the Cup. This is the first time you've ever been beyond R3 in your tenth full season, so how does it feel?

Yeah its an unbelievable feeling to be honest, especially when I did it against the odds by knocking out a Premier League team! Toxic Skank's (952533) manager was magnanimous in defeat and I have nothing but respect for the way he has congratulated me and wished me luck for the future! I don't think I will be going much further as being the lowest ranked team left in the competition leaves me with one hell of a route to the final :-P I can but try, and there will always be fireworks!

2 If you have a favourite tune of 2014, please provide a link to vimeo/utube/soundcloud for us to listen, but an old timer's classic tune would be just as good?

I am an old school kind of guy, and love my classic rock. Haven't got a link for it but (if you don't know it already) check out Def Leppard - Animal. In fact, any Def Leppard song! They just don't make em like they used to! Ed link:- (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecFPU--vvf0)

3 You took over your team on 21/08/2011, and have struggled to progress up the leagues over the last ten seasons. How difficult has it been to get to grips with the game, and what has made you persevere?

My problem over the seasons has been my inability to leave the transfer market alone. Through playing CM/FM and entering fantasy football leagues since I was a wee nipper, I have always been a wheeler dealer! And of course, what comes with that is a destroyed TS and no loyalty bonuses. I have at last decided to concentrate on trophies instead of transfers, and so far its working alright!

4 If a fan wanted to buy you a pint, which pub would it be easiest to find you in, and what's your poison?

The pub I frequent the most is the Hare and Hounds up on Werneth Low (http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2061/2303/1600/hare_and_hounds.jpg). Gorgeous views, being able to see Wales on a good day (whether thats a good or bad thing is up for debate). My pint? Up there its Birra Moretti (http://www.gastronomium.com.br/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Girarrosto-birra-moretti.jpg) , but mostly I drink real ales. You can't beat Old Tom (http://www.robinsonsbrewery.com/media/catalog/product/o/l/old_tombottles_1.jpg) !

5. This season, Postigod was voted in to be the England NT coach. Did you vote, and do you have any interest in the fortunes of our National Team?

Yeah I did vote, for Johnny_Thunder (953185). I feel the international setup needs a character, and Johnny is definitely one of those :-) As for whether I follow it or not? I do but take a backseat view really. Its nice to sit back and watch all of the politics spill over without being involved directly.

6 What skill are you currently training and what stamina percentage are you currently using and why?

That's an easy one. Short passes, 18% stamina share. For one reason only. Scott 'Hardcore' Humphries (385491287). My pride and joy, who hopefully will get a call-up to the international scene, be it U20 or NT in the future.

7 You currently pay for platinum supporter, with a second team in (209747) Bangladesh, a league you share with 2 bots together with an Italian, a Frenchman and a Brazilian 2nd teams. are you doing anything differently with the second team (from what you've learned from experience) and if so what?

No I haven't done much differently with my Bangladesh team to be honest, aside from not spending all the money and going bankrupt! I am training defending atm, and am hoping to build from the back with this team. That's the plan for now anyways!

8 Please tell us how/where you met your other half (or last conquest), and how he/she feels about your hattrick addiction?

I met my wife at work. Boring I know. But couldn't be happier! It was my birthday yesterday and she kindly paid for another 6 months platinum. So now, every time she complains when 'I am always on that bloody game' I can say 'why of course dear? You want me to make the most of my present don't you?'

9 According to our internet research, (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Awesome-Animals-Raccoon-Andrew-Cope/dp/000746262X) is a book by Andrew Cope who is a Derby County supporter. Rampaging Raccoons have also hit the news recently as "Nazi Raccoons" invaded Moritzburg, setting out a new raccoon world order for the Baroque Castle's tourists to their artifical island in the Schlossteich.

Do you support Derby County as well then?

I can categorically deny that any of my Raccoons hordes were involved in any Nazi activity, and certainly have not started a 'New World Order'. That is, until I command it. And no, my dad is a Derby County fan but I support Manchester United. Surprising ain't it, a United fan that actually lives in Lancashire!

10. What was your favourite movie of 2013/14?

I absolutely loved Lord of the Rings, so when the Hobbit series came out I was like a blind nun in a fishmongers (if you get my meaning?). The Desolation of Smaug (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1170358/) is yet another quality production and sets things up nicely for a truly epic conclusion. Yes, I am a geek, but you have to admit its a great film right?
