Jason Ivy Cup Winner's Interview

An interview with Kriss79 (5840701), manager of #FC Barcelona# (953853) who has just won this season’s edition of the Jason Ivy Cup.

You joined Hattrick in January 2007. How did you hear about it?

Actually I joined Hattrick in 2004, after a former neighbor told me about it and I had no problem to keep my interest in it, as I was already playing various football manager games on my PC, so HT was like an icing on the cake. In 2007 whilst I was still living in the UK, I decided to start from scratch in a different league.

After being knocked out of the English Cup in round 4 you were parachuted into the Jason Ivy Cup. At that stage did you expect to reach the final?

I'd tried to get that cup already last season. As you can see from my game archive, I got kicked out in the quarters, so I gave it another shot and this time it worked out. I was expecting the team to win this cup, not only to reach the final, and I'm not disappointed at all :)

In the final (541432792) you played FC Tadworth (60048), a team flying high in IV. What were your thoughts going into the match?

FC Tadworth is pretty decent team and it was obvious it might be tough to beat them, but like I said before, I really wanted to get my hands on that cup and so some parts of my season's plans were sacrificed in order to help acheive this objective, and it worked out perfectly. I suppose that I would have been somewhat disappointed if I had lost the final.

You have now won the Jason Ivy Cup, but do you have any ambitions to win bigger prizes?

Of course I do!

Next time, I want to win the George Carey Cup :)

You don’t currently pay for any Hattrick supporter package. What would the HTs have to do to lure you in?

I don't really know what they would have to do... Let them try ;)

If your team had a song to run out to (maybe it does!), what would it be?

It would be defo "Vredesbyrd" by Dimmu Borgir! ]:->

What do you think of the proposed changes to the match engine, and player contribution revisions?

There will always be changes from time to time. There's always room for improvement with upgrades, modifications etc. Some of them are better, other ones not so good.

Your manager page states that you're a fan of Arsenal and Monaco, both of which have been managed by Arsene Wenger. Are you Arsene Wenger?

I had that funny feeling my disguise won't last forever... :)

When did you last kick a football?

It was 2 years ago while visiting my friend as part of his bunch of friends meeting up fairly regularly to play on artificial pitch.

What was the last book you read? Was it any good?

Dean Koontz - "Intensity". (https://le0pard13.files.wordpress.com/2015/10/book-intensity.jpg) Pretty good, as are all Dean's books.

Please tell us about how you met your other half (or last conquest), and how they feel about your Hattrick addiction?

It turned out that my other half (now fiancee) works with the wife of a friend of mine from the uni, and they mentioned something about her when I was visiting them in my home country. I decided to write to her and arrange to meet up for a drink, cause I was passing through the area near to where she lived, and after meeting a second time we really hit it off, and so that's how it all started :) She doesn't mind me spending time on HT, although I'm playing it nearly always when she's not about, so it works well enough for us. She doesn't find it that interesting and I make sure I still have plenty time for her, not just for HT. :)

What question should I have asked you that I haven't?

"Aside from being a fan of Arsenal and Monaco, your page states that you are also a fan of FC Barcelona. I take it that Barca is your fav No. 1?"

"Yep. I've been a supporter for24 years now and counting..." :)
