This new series is about to encourage more Saudi Arabia managers to open a youth academy. It will give you some very useful information and а few basic things you need to know when you start with the youth academy.

Part I : Why should I invest time and money in a youth team ?

Benefit I : National Team Player

In a small nation like Saudi Arabia, every talent produced makes a difference and even a double inadequate can become a U20/NT potential.

With good planning and a little luck, one can achieve much through the academy, and in helping the Saudi Falcons.

Not to mention the thrill when you see your kid reveal solid/excellent potential or when he has the "proper" specialty for his position ... or even when he puts on the Saudi Arabia national shirt for the first time and makes you so proud! ;)

Benefit II : Money

Even if you are only get really crap players for two seasons, just one good player can easily cover the invested money for a few seasons.

Beside that you can develop some nice homegrown players for your team and save a lot of money on their wages.

Remember the home team bonus for your player. It is usually better to pull a passable 17 year old player from your academy and train him then to buy a solid one for a lot of money from someone else.

Any objections ?

Yes, the youth academy is too complicated !

In fact it is pretty easy and there are a lot of helping hands around.

If you have any question do not hesitate to ask in the forum. There are so many experts offering help and suggestions.

In addition there are very good "How-to-guides" written by other managers about youth training. I will link some of them in the public forum.

I don´t want to train another whole team!

You don´t have to.

Focus your training on one or two players in your squad. It is of course much better to sell one player for 2 million than four players for 200K each, even if it is hurtful to let some talented players get older and worthless because they don´t receive proper training.
