Jotunheim Wanderers:
Red, white, and blue...
After a resounding victory, two young defenders were excused from training after the Cup match on Wednesday. Lýður Márusson and Vignir Rúnar Erlingsson both took off their Jotunheim jersies to realize a life dream and play for the red, white, and blue.... of Iceland!
Both Márusson and Erlingsson took part in U20 Iceland's victory over Northern Ireland in an International friendly (425951106), it was their first appearance for the team.
"This is a big day for them and I am obviously very proud. Naturally I taught them everything they know (winks). We hope that this sort of international experience will help us this season," manager Ragnar told this reporter.
Upon boarding the plan to return to the 'States, Márusson had this to say: "We want to contribute for club and country, this is what it is all about, I only hope my training continues and I can benefit Iceland in the next U20 World Cup qualification. Áfram Ísland!"

Stales FC:
V?!?!
After going on autopilot while the team was able to sleep walk through the bots in VI, Stales fans now find themselves in V in a division where every team (other than maybe the 2 bots) is much better than them. Compounding matters is that the training program which was supposed to have multiple players ready to sell as of the end of last season has gotten a little delayed and some of the players may not get that last pop until 4-5 weeks into the season! The team is going to have to tread water with its current formation until then. On the bright side, the teams Youth Club is starting to really perform with Duane Ercanbrack netting a cool 6 million on the transfer list. The team considered training the young keeper itself, but ended up going in a different direction. All in all, Stales should be able to avoid auto-demotion but management needs to make decisions on the new training program and how much of the bankroll to spend in order to be competitive.

Haggis, Neeps & Tatties:
Roughing it out
Gonna be a tough season... I'm hopeful of a top 5 finish at least. Considering the ratio of bot teams, I'm aiming high lol

Jotunheim Wanderers:
When does the new season start again?
While yours truly Jotunheim Wanderers were unable to defend their Div. V title, the players, fans, and management of the squad were satisfied with a second place finish. The club allowed 2 goals against all season and in 180 league minutes of play against the new champions, FC Striders, neither team could muster a goal. Needless to say the ambition for next season is simple: to strengthen the attack while still nurturing the promising defense, and to win the series.
"Well, our 34 year old veteran was our leading scorer this season, and his TSI is less than 1,000," manager Ragnar told VIP members over a post-season brunch, "that is where our attack is at the moment. By the end of next season we hope to have 2 Div IV quality forwards. Meanwhile I must say... the off-season sucks!"
