Immediatly following Long Island's 9-0 show of force at home against the Ducks, JMAD spoke to the press about the game.
"Our guys played their hearts out, and had fun while doing it. The way they played together, I think they tried letting up after that 5-0 first half. They're competitve side wouldn't let them though. They've got that killer instinct and played a marvelous game of soccer."
When asked if it was unsportsmanlike to win by so much, he got angry and passionate in his response.
"You know what's unsportsmanlike? Tackling with your studs out. Taking a lad down by his jersey. Attacking an opposing player instead of playing the ball. I've got no problem with a good clean tackle or physical play. Hell, I don't even have a problem if you're going after the ball and some unintended contact occurs. Those guys were upset about losing and started to play dirty. As a result, Vautrin and Godfrey are hurt. The focus should be on our first win and instead it's on them. Unreal."  

At a recent press event at Nassau Coliseum, a reporter asked about the financial state of the team as JMAD purchased players off the transfer market left and right.
"Don't worry about the finances." He responded with a smile. "My primary concern is winning. We make a strong first impression with the community and our new fanbase, they'll pay for our merchandise and to come watch us play. We win, the sponsors will practically be throwing money at us. I'm not an accountant, I'm a football fan and I'm going to make my decisions like a fan. You can't put a price on victory."
The speech about winning prompted a witty response from the same reporter, who retorted with, "But you've been 2-5 in friendlies thus far..."
At that, JMAD shook his head and threw his hands up in the air. "You can't throw a bunch of lads together and expect a cohesive unit to magically appear. Every game, we get better playing together, and every game we get closer to being the team we want to be. We are united."

Tomorrow we begin the new season will be a season full of surprises for the adventure of the new team added. We hope to do well.

A long time goal of the manager is to, for one week, be ranked as the #1 team in New York.

This can only be a step in that direction (considering there are only 7 teams in the NY ladder;)) but it is a step none the less!

FCB Riverside Drive is officially born today, American branch of FC Bano 2009 (1916554). We have a long journey, full of pitfalls and difficulties, but, hopefully, also rich in satisfactions. We will put the maximum effort, the utmost dedication and all our expertise. Go FCB!
