Billy Costabile has been named the new head coach after being on the team since Oct. 28, 2008, PitRules88 announced.

"I am humbled to lead such a proud club and there are many great things to come," Costabile said. "We won't be so defensive-minded in the future."

The club also revealed its new home uniforms which closely resemble the bumble bee logo. It is in honor of The Nest who pack The Hive every season. The team will wear them at the first home game after the trophy raising ceremony.

"We finally get those diamonds off our chest," said Leon "Lucky Kluky" Klukowski. "Our home fans didn't need to see that, they deserve better. I'm happy we are only making our visitors look at those ugly things."

The squad will keep its road uniforms in remembrance of the past.

"Although I am happy we made a change at home, I'm glad we can keep the road uniforms," said team captain Wade Albrecht. "They are truly a piece of history."

PitRules88 will raise the S. 50 trophy on Sunday.

What a day to be a LOAF! Firstly, the team won a nail-biter come from behind qualification match 3-2 to move into the series IV.23, an astounding accomplishment for these suburban boys. Later in the day we were surprised to see that our sister (brother?) club was activated in the Zufar region of Oman, The Handlebar Baguettes (1799289). Stop by and say hello to our adopted Middle Eastern sibling!

After a tough season of eating humble pie and realizing that we needed to rebuild, the Boys dug deep and pulled out the qualifier in a Shootout. Coaching blunders from Yanks last week, getting their best winger a 3rd yellow, was under scrutiny all week, however their tactical change late in the match, eventually lead to the tie forcing OT.. We look forward to another season in IV.6 and are happy to see Park staying as well. While Westview wasn't able to get to the next level, we know that they will be back and ready to repeat. For tonight we'll celebrate, but starting tomorrow we shall get ready for next season.

FC Topton extends a hearty congratulations to Holy Crusaders for their finish atop the standings. Topton hopes to ride their vastly improved momentum at season's end for their next campaign. FC Topton rallied to finish 2-2-0 in their last 4 games, move up to seventh (still not very good) in the standings, and score 8 of the team's 10 points for the season.
