Fiorentina Turner Phoenix:
Bad news
After a disastrous opening day game, FTP manager Freeman eventually emerged from a locked changing room to face the press.
"I'm very disappointed in the actions of Alfie in getting sent off today. Whilst we have known that Alfie was a bit of a nutter for a while, we never thought he would actually go and head butt an opponent in a game, especially not hard enough to put them out for four weeks. I guess we should have seen it coming as he is a head specialist."
Freeman then faced questions about Israel Barenzi, who also received a red card for kicking the ball away. This coupled with a further yellow led to accusations of a discipline problem at the club.
"We do not have a discipline problem at the club. We have had a long heart to heart as a team, and it turns out the players are cranky and bad tempered because I've banned cream buns and made them actually do some running in training. They now appreciate that this is necessary in order to improve the stamina of the team."
