AC87 1 - 3 dm001

They fielded: Bombeli - Al-Sa'fani, Magnata, Norre - Bronninger, Novaes, Gianunzio, Kaskpeit, Huljev - Ruiz Mejía, Lavigne.

The following players took the field: Nevola - Izzi, Gasparroni, Şerbănescu - Feliciello, Bonandini, Meduri, Paleari, Saccardo - Ghiron, Bellinvia.

As the teams spread out over the pitch, it became clear that they would both be using a 3-5-2 formation today. dm001 had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 12 minutes in when Tommaso Gasparroni came up alone against Justus Bombeli who managed a block. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by Gianluca Feliciello. At last, dm001's Marian Şerbănescu was able to backheel the ball in. 0 - 1. 33 minutes into the game, dm001 worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. With 34 minutes played, after a good run down the left, Ziad Al-Sa'fani went down looking for a penalty after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee waved play on, and later warned him for diving. Given a free kick in a difficult position after 36 minutes, AC87 tried a variation that they had practised in training. The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish. dm001 came close to extending their lead as Norberto Bellinvia delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 37 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. Halftime score was 0 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by dm001, with 53 percent of the ball.

AC87's Adelino Novaes put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored to make the score 1 - 1 with 57 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock. Massimiliano Paleari of dm001 received a yellow card after 61 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. AC87 could have put themselves ahead after 62 minutes but Adelino Novaes missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. After 63 minutes, the dm001 coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Giancarlo Meduri off the field. Maurizio Noja took his place. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 79 minutes allowed Manlio Saccardo to score for dm001. The scoreboard now read 1 - 2. The dm001 players could smell victory in the air. Manlio Saccardo wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for Brisko Glindmeyer after 81 minutes. The referee showed dm001's Tommaso Gasparroni the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After 82 minutes, dm001's lack of experience resulted in the team's loss of their edge at the end of the game. The visitors' Norberto Bellinvia took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 83 minutes into the match. 1 - 3 for dm001. Marian Şerbănescu came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over Justus Bombeli but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. The match ends 1 - 3. dm001 claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

AC87's best player was Raúl Ruiz Mejía. However, Justus Bombeli made a disastrous appearance. Most important dm001 player was Gian Franco Bonandini. Augusto 'Saracinesca' Nevola was a disappointment, however.
