APM-U17 1 - 7 Condal

A group of 196 people showed up at Automobile Academy Arena, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. The picks for today were: Jordanoski - Mateski - Ingilizov, Shikov, Aspasiev, Merxha, Chomovski - Borozanov, Gruevski, Katrov.

The coach fielded the following talents: Pontejos - Bote, Errotagoikoa - Argentesi, Ruiz Llera, Bañuls, Fanlo, Chaves - Galbarriatu, Durà, Eguiruren.

Alpa Mobil U17 entered the field in a 1-5-3 formation. The visitors, Condal Atletico, chose to start the game with a 2-5-3 lineup. APM-U17 took a creative approach on the field. Condal demonstrated their creative tactics on the field. Condal took the lead 2 minutes into the game, scoring to make the score 0 - 1. José Roberto Eguiruren intercepted a sloppy pass in central midfield, stepped past his marker and fired a cute shot into the bottom corner. 12 minutes had passed when Mihajlo Katrov equalised for APM-U17. Nice work cutting through from the right, this boy might just make it to the senior squad one day. Stefano Argentesi nearly put the visiting team one up in the 13th minute, following an optimistic solo raid down the middle, but Marko Jordanoski stretched far enough to tip the ball to a corner. The coach of APM-U17 was embarrassed to see his players fail the tactical setup. Many played out of position and the organisation level of the team dropped to passable. After 33 minutes, APM-U17's Fidan Mateski received a yellow card after ignoring the referee's order to tuck his shirt inside his shorts. Stefano Argentesi charged through the defensive line after 34 minutes and despite almost losing his balance due to a harsh tackle, he still managed to squeeze the ball in. 1 - 2 was the new score for the visiting team. Óscar Antonio Bote of Condal attempted a long shot after 35 minutes. It had plenty of power but was lacking in accuracy and it flew miles over the bar. 38 minutes into the match, a well-timed pass from the left side gave Luis Ruiz Llera, of Condal, an open road to the goal. Seconds later the score was 1 - 3. It was 1 - 3 at the break. This half the Condal boys hung on to the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

The APM-U17 players spent the break at the feet of their coach, contemplating the mistakes they'd made so far. It helped them reach solid organisation when the match kicked off again. Some fine maneuvering on the left led to a goal for the young Condal side after 61 minutes, making it 1 - 4. The referee announced Nemesi Durà as the scorer. The referee showed Condal's Sergio Chaves the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Lacking experience with the current tactics, the players of APM-U17 kept running into each other on the pitch. They only managed a inadequate level of organisation. The away team's Stefano Argentesi took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 84 minutes, increasing Condal's lead to 1 - 5. Condal had hoped to extend their lead after 87 minutes as the untested Luis Ruiz Llera received a through ball on the right and hit it directly, but unfortunately the angle was too sharp, and the shot hit the side of the goal. Condal's young talent Jorge Galbarriatu feigned his way past Fidan Mateski - and finished spectacularly for 1 - 6! A surprising free kick in the 89:th minute produced a cracking effort at goal for the visitors, but the defenders had recently trained the same routine and saw the ball to safety. A haphazard combination through the middle gave Condal's Nemesi Durà a decent chance to increase the lead, and he did not disappoint. The score after 89 minutes was therefore 1 - 7. As the match wraps up the score is 1 - 7. Condal didn't seem to want to give the ball away in this half, which resulted in 53 percent of the possession.

Ice Borozanov performed especially well for APM-U17 - this one could be a candidate for the senior squad one day. Marko Jordanoski left the field with tears in his eyes, knowing he had been the worst player on his team. The Condal players gave Jorge Galbarriatu a group hug after the game, claiming he'd been "really great". On the other hand, Santiago Pontejos's performance hadn't been very good at all.
