ManU 0 - 2 EYB

Clear skies welcomed the 283 bystanders at Toshe Proeski. Starters: Krstev - Mishevski, Mucunski, Kezaroski, Manchevski, Georgievski - Hysa, Myftari, Bejkovski, Trifunovski - Gogov.

The boys who got to play today were: Haeussler - Genin, Gläser, Litschmann, Krausemüller - Wusterhausen, Hessl, Kläger, Leingaertner - Kehrer, Toerne.

ManUtd 4ever started the game in a 5-4-1 formation, whereas Erftstadt Young Boys lined up in a 4-4-2 formation. EYB displayed their ability to play creatively. The spectators saw a great chance for ManU to take the lead after 9 minutes as a good cross from the right found Stevo Trifunovski alone with the keeper, but he showed his nerves as his chip flew past the wrong side of the post. ManU's Slave Georgievski tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but kept getting stopped by the visitors' defenders. The 0 - 1 goal was scored by Alwin Krausemüller 35 minutes into the match, following an enthusiastic counterattack down the middle by EYB. At the halftime break, the score was 0 - 1. ManU, bringing their ball possession to 56 percent, seemed most ambitious today.

In the 57th minute, Claus Toerne displayed his charming innocence as a footballer and made a solo raid through the centre of the pitch. The defenders followed him closely, but the young talent got a shot off and was nearly able to add to his team's lead. The young ManU squad were attacking through the central midfield, but with a certain lack of focus. Cvetko Gogov still broke loose through, but his shot went over the bar. It emerged that Cvetko Gogov had hurt his right foot after 67 minutes, which led him to abandon the game. The replacement for the injured player was Devis Shakaj. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, EYB's Egon Wusterhausen angled in a weird looking ball to Claus Toerne, who struck before thinking and luckily got it right. 0 - 2. Having successfully challenged his marker and even the goalkeeper, EYB's Dennis Genin made it into the box in the 70th minute, and could easily place the ball in the unguarded goal. At the last moment, a defender sprang up from the left, clearing the ball on the line. It was by no means pretty when one of the home defenders unknowingly protected the goal using his rear end in the 76th minute. But the move was effective and stopped Egon Wusterhausen's shot from the right side just before entering the goal. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, EYB's Ferdinand Kläger got himself booked. As the match wraps up the score is 0 - 2. This half the ManU boys hung on to the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

ManU's Filip Bejkovski had a great game and was congratulated by his team mates. This lad could be going places! Doncho Mucunski showed he still has a lot to learn. The EYB players gave Claus Toerne a group hug after the game, claiming he'd been "really great". René Gläser left the field with tears in his eyes, knowing he had been the worst player on his team.
