N Jr 1 - 8 FMK

Clear skies welcomed the 28 bystanders at Gazownia. The lucky starting players: Buidin - Gorbachevskiy, Mitrichev, Tsapko, Rymashevskiy, Seropegin - Shirokikh, Malyarchuk - Sanfirov, Duryagin, Saliy.

The picks for today were: Peker - Vodenicharski, Denktaş, Lahtevski - Chekarov, Iğla, Ilievski, Manevski, Nacov - Jelić, Zafirovski.

The teams had chosen different formations for the match. Home team Nowiczok Juniors went for 5-2-3 while Falanga MK has decided to play a 3-5-2 lineup. N Jr showed off their creative tactics. The defensive wall was disorganised, making it easier for FMK's Sasko Lahtevski to get his free kick through to goal. The strike itself wasn't fancy, but it did give the visitors the lead, 0 - 1 after 9 minutes. After 13 minutes, Najden Ilievski slowly got up on his feet, clutching his left thigh, but eventually signalled that he was ready to play on. After 25 minutes, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as Najden Ilievski deflected a misplaced long shot from the left into the goal. Did that come off his backside? N Jr refused to give in and after 33 minutes they got it together. Petr Rymashevskiy came in from the right and chipped the ball in, making it 1 - 2. After 38 minutes, Vitaliy Malyarchuk of N Jr fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was not impressed by the young lad's acting skills and booked him for diving. Did someone forget the pre-match briefing today? The N Jr lads didn't seem to have a clue what to do, and their organisation level dropped to poor. A drive on the left side created space for FMK's Marko Jelić, who easily put the cross away after 43 minutes for 1 - 3. 1 - 3 was the score after 45 minutes. FMK, bringing their ball possession to 68 percent, seemed most ambitious today.

The N Jr players spent the break at the feet of their coach, contemplating the mistakes they'd made so far. It helped them reach passable organisation when the match kicked off again. FMK's Najden Ilievski received a play slashing through the home side's central defence after 50 minutes, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 1 - 4 goal. The loyal few along the sidelines were not pleased with that one. After 59 minutes, a defensive blunder enabled FMK to put themselves up 1 - 5 following an attack from the right. The scorer was Bozhidar Zafirovski. The coach of N Jr was embarrassed to see his players fail the tactical setup. Many played out of position and the organisation level of the team dropped to inadequate. Vele Manevski was the target for the corner kick, but his deflection was blocked by the keeper. However, FMK's Boban Nacov happened to be in the right place for the rebound and scored the 1 - 6 goal as a result. FMK's Bozhidar Zafirovski took advantage of an overly powerful header back to the keeper 72 minutes into the game, and tapped the ball into the empty net for 1 - 7. After 80 minutes, FMK's Boban Nacov received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. A haphazard combination through the middle gave FMK's Boban Nacov a decent chance to increase the lead, and he did not disappoint. The score after 83 minutes was therefore 1 - 8. N Jr appeared uncertain how to play and their organisation was only poor. The match ends with a 1 - 8 score. FMK didn't seem to want to give the ball away in this half, which resulted in 71 percent of the possession.

The N Jr players gave Arsen Saliy a group hug after the game, claiming he'd been "really great". The coach took Evgeniy Buidin aside after the game, telling him it is okay to have a bad day on the pitch as long as you keep trying. The spectators agreed that the most impressive boy in FMK today had been Bozhidar Zafirovski. Şener Peker left the field with tears in his eyes, knowing he had been the worst player on his team.
