N95 YG 0 - 1 ErtS

The skies were cloudy, but it wasn't raining. The 29 spectators at Stadium 77 today seemed reasonably pleased, at least with the weather. The coach fielded the following talents: Klepetko - Škuták, Gašperák, Vuľcha - Kralčák, Glejdura, Kozakevich, Ridaj, Gaštan - Jarnický, Mutniansky.

The lucky starting players: Tyushin - Barakov, Chernev, Esipov, Smygalin, Ainetdinov - Semenikhin, Stoletov - Mizin, Kirillin, Serafimov.

N95 Young Guns fielded a 3-5-2 lineup. For ErtStar, the formation of choice was 5-2-3. Inspired by a textbook of football tactics, the ErtS boys would today try to challenge the opposition defence with quick clearances and long ball attacks. ErtS had a good opportunity to convert a counterattack after 7 minutes, but Roman Barakov's attempt to finish was easily stopped. Egor Serafimov completed a successful ErtS counterattack 19 minutes into the game. His neat finish from the left ended up in the goal for 0 - 1. The opposition keeper was very upset, pleading his innocence to the coach. The ErtS coach was visibly pleased with the score so far, but still ordered a few tactical changes 25 minutes into the game. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. N95 YG pleased their coach greatly, as they maintained 73 percent of possession.

46 minutes into the game, ErtS adjusted their style of play in order to conserve the lead. N95 YG's Sergiy Kozakevich made a successful breakthrough attempt 77 minutes into the game and should have levelled the score after some good work down the right, but instead he clipped it over the bar. A counterattack by ErtS after 78 minutes could have resulted in a goal, but Roman Barakov, coming in on the left, lost his wits and couldn't get the shot off. Stanislav Kralčák charged down the left, searching an equaliser for N95 YG, but when it did come he seemed to have gone out of steam. The shot went wide of goal. As Ivan Kirillin was substituted in the 85:th minute, he could take comfort in the fact that his team was in the lead. Evgeniy Nesterenko was the replacement. Alfréd Škuták slowly got up on his feet, clutching his right thigh, but eventually signalled that he was ready to play on. The match ends 0 - 1. This half the N95 YG boys hung on to the ball, with 73 percent of possession.

Alfréd Škuták performed especially well for N95 YG - this one could be a candidate for the senior squad one day. The coach took Miroslav Klepetko aside after the game, telling him it is okay to have a bad day on the pitch as long as you keep trying. The spectators agreed that the most impressive boy in ErtS today had been Andriy Mizin. Diniyar Ainetdinov left the field with tears in his eyes, knowing he had been the worst player on his team.
