ASM 4 - 1 YMORF

The 223 bystanders at LE PERTHUIS were in for an afternoon of sunshine. It was a very hot day and some players suffered from this, especially those relying on tough physical play or a lot of fast runs. For the technical ones, on the other hand, this was ideal conditions. The coach fielded the following talents: Guennec - Granier, Beaufils, Bouhelier, Monnier - Rineau, Raji, Ojeda, Germain, Richardeau - Guillemot.

The picks for today were: Ben-Yaacov - Zerach, Sayed - Alal, Efrat, Shelach, Elituv, Mohie - Azougy, Maman, Sidon.

AS METARE entered the field in a 4-5-1 formation. The visitors, YOUTHoMORF, chose to start the game with a 2-5-3 lineup. ASM demonstrated their creative tactics on the field. YMORF decided to play creatively. Pascal Guennec was beaming with pride after 11 minutes, as he dived full length and stopped a shot by the visitors' Sagiv Zerach. ASM's Renaud Rineau had a good first touch on the flank, but was crowded by the opposition. He managed to break free and send the ball to Carlos Gustavo Ojeda who flipped the ball wide. ASM had a chance to take the lead on Carlos Gustavo Ojeda's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled away as his shot went just over the bar 13 minutes into the match. ASM did not seem very confident about what to do on the pitch, the organisation level having broken down to solid. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, ASM's Rémi Richardeau angled in a weird looking ball to Renaud Rineau, who struck before thinking and luckily got it right. 1 - 0. Osama Mohie came close to levelling the score after 27 minutes, as he was set up with a through ball coming in from the left, but his shot hit the post. Thierry Germain of ASM was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Rémy Granier could have put ASM up one more, but he got stuck on his way towards the goal from the left after 33 minutes. After 36 minutes, Freddy Sidon of YMORF fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was not impressed by the young lad's acting skills and booked him for diving. After 37 minutes, ASM's Rémy Granier received a yellow card after ignoring the referee's order to tuck his shirt inside his shorts. After 38 minutes of the match had been played, the visitors defenders misjudged the movements of ASM's Axel Guillemot through the middle, leaving him one on one with the keeper. He pulled the trigger and the score was 2 - 0. Freddy Sidon of YMORF got sent off for kicking the ball after the whistle, a completely uncalled for move, earning him his second yellow card of the game. Lacking experience with the current tactics, the players of ASM kept running into each other on the pitch. They only managed a inadequate level of organisation. 2 - 0 was the score after 45 minutes. This half the ASM boys hung on to the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

After handing out some oranges, ASM's coach repeated his tactical instructions to the team. The boys finally got it, and were back at solid organisation when the whistle blew again. It was group hug time yet again, when ASM pushed ahead to 3 - 0. Rémy Granier was the center of attention, having moved deftly through the middle to find his angle, not hesitating when he did. YMORF recuperated some of their confidence 59 minutes into the game. Oshri Azougy was assisted from the right wing, before sliding in the 3 - 1 goal. 63 minutes into the game, YMORF's Hazem Sayed rolled over in pain after taking a forceful blow to his upper chest. After bandaging his collarbone, the medics led him off the field. Nimrod Elituv had already been warming up, and came on for Hazem Sayed. Did someone forget the pre-match briefing today? The ASM lads didn't seem to have a clue what to do, and their organisation level dropped to inadequate. 75 minutes into the game, ASM's Rémy Granier turned in a penalty to make it 4 - 1 without any problems. After 76 minutes, Thierry Germain found the key to the opposing defence and worked himself into position for a shot. ASM nearly increased their lead there, but in the end the strike was denied by Nissan Ben-Yaacov between the posts. YMORF's Osama Mohie got himself booked after a foul. A slight injury to his right calf muscle meant Pascal Guennec had to leave the match early. It happened after 79 minutes. The replacement for the injured player was Jérôme Forster. With ASM now without a captain, brave young Rémi Richardeau stepped up to the challenge. At the final whistle, the score is 4 - 1. ASM didn't seem to want to give the ball away in this half, which resulted in 55 percent of the possession.

ASM's Axel Guillemot had a great game and was congratulated by his team mates. This lad could be going places! The coach took Thierry Germain aside after the game, telling him it is okay to have a bad day on the pitch as long as you keep trying. The YMORF players gave Osama Mohie a group hug after the game, claiming he'd been "really great". Nissan Ben-Yaacov showed he still has a lot to learn.
