Breeze 0 - 0 MKD

The 264 spectators at Jack Flash Park were roasting in the hot sun. For some players the sunny weather was bad news. It made Powerful and Quick players a bit sluggish. For Technical players, it was instead an advantage, allowing them to shine on the pitch. Starters: Trimm - Freeman, Hardinge, Gates - Banks, Maggs, Kenny, Stratz, Fawcett - Lawrence, Marwood.

The picks for today were: Temelkov - Hakrama, Lozinovski, Lulzimi, Argirovski, Madzunkov - Bogatinov, Pucakoski, Zaev, Kostoski - Krišanović.

It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 3-5-2 formation while the visitors instead opted for 5-4-1. The spectators saw a great chance for Breeze to take the lead after 29 minutes as a good cross from the right found Nicholas Marwood alone with the keeper, but he showed his nerves as his chip flew past the wrong side of the post. 32 minutes into the game Breeze were keen to go on the counterattack, but Nicholas Marwood took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. With 33 minutes played, Nebojša Krišanović looked all grown up as he hit a powerful shot at goal from the middle of the D, missing it by an inch. 0 - 0 was the score after the first half. Breeze pleased their coach greatly, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

After 46 minutes, the Breeze coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Rowan Gates off the field. Caleb Triggs took his place. Breeze were eager to get ahead in the game and after 60 minutes Caleb Triggs cut in from the right to unleash a shot that almost ended up in the net. MKD had a few good opportunities to take the lead, especially in the 71:th minute when Halim Hakrama got the ball clean in front of goal and struck it blindly, only hitting Mike Trimm. 73 minutes into the game, Breeze wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Nicholas Marwood gave Mark Fitzmichael a quick hug as he left the field. The coach thought Samuel Hardinge deserved a penalty shot after 77 minutes, as he was torn down by the visitors' keeper Blasko Temelkov after an attack through the middle. At the final whistle, the score is 0 - 0. In this half Breeze were the most energetic, keeping the ball to themselves for 51 percent of the time.

Alfie Lawrence performed especially well for Breeze - this one could be a candidate for the senior squad one day. Mike Trimm needs a lot of extra training, however. The MKD players gave Nebojša Krišanović a group hug after the game, claiming he'd been "really great". Gorazd Argirovski showed he still has a lot to learn.
