MDY 0 - 4 GVJ

As one of the teams did not arrive in time for the agreed match, there was concern among parents and leaders that their bus had got lost on their way over. But the bus never showed, and the reason for the absence remained a mystery. The resourceful GVJ players searched the area for alternative opponents, and found them in a nearby school yard. The weather was decent, and some 201 people were interested enough in the game to visit MDY-House today. The boys who got to play today were: Kusi - Ofosu, Dadzie, Maddock, Oduro - Caulee-Ramsamy, Yeboah, Addison, Appiah - Beniako, Poku.

The coach fielded the following talents: Kolevski - Andreu, Chutanovski, Köymen - Bağlan, Kamcevski, Manchevski, Panov - Tanaskovski, Pechkov, Pavlovski.

It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 4-4-2 formation while the visitors instead opted for 3-4-3. GVJ saw most attack opportunities on the wings. After 26 minutes GVJ's Ruse Tanaskovski was out wide on the left, where he found himself unchallenged and able to receive a fine through pass. The keeper came towards him, but not quick enough to cut the attacker off completely. 0 - 1 for the visitors. After 27 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Tode Panov who increased GVJ's lead to 0 - 2. Alexey Caulee-Ramsamy looks like a natural winger, often delivering useful passes to his team mates. No goal there though, as Kwaku Appiah fails to convert from close range. Just a few inches to the right, and the visitors could have had a goal in the 30:th minute. Ljubomir Pechkov surely wishes he could do that free kick over again. In the game's 31:th minute, Acun Bağlan got it all wrong after being in a position to shoot from the edge of the box after an attack through the middle, but then proceeded to put his entire foot under the ball to send it soaring way over the crossbar, and afterwards tumbled down onto his rear end. Laughs all around after that one! After 34 minutes, GVJ sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached Ruse Tanaskovski, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot and score the 0 - 3 goal. It was 0 - 3 at the break. GVJ pleased their coach greatly, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.

GVJ's Acun Bağlan received a play slashing through the home side's central defence after 61 minutes, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 0 - 4 goal. The loyal few along the sidelines were not pleased with that one. After 71 minutes, Jakov Kamcevski of GVJ fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was not impressed by the young lad's acting skills and booked him for diving. In the 73:th minute, GVJ nearly put themselves up another goal as Dobri Chutanovski stumbled through on the left and dragged the ball with him towards the goal. The keeper cleared the ball in time. Despite hurting his right foot at the 75 minute mark, Gideon Oduro decided to keep playing. After 77 minutes, GVJ's Ruse Tanaskovski received a yellow card after ignoring the referee's order to tuck his shirt inside his shorts. The match ends with a 0 - 4 score. This half the GVJ boys hung on to the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

The MDY players gave Thomas Poku a group hug after the game, claiming he'd been "really great". On the other hand, Gideon Oduro's performance hadn't been very good at all. The coach of GVJ was especially pleased with Trendafil Pavlovski after the game. Jakov Kamcevski left the field with tears in his eyes, knowing he had been the worst player on his team.
