Apashe 4 - 2 YZH

Dark skies made several of the 254 spectators at Apashko Duvlo contemplate an early return journey, but the rain held off. The lucky starting players: Gjyli - Binovski, Bozadziski, Hajdari - Ilioski, Stojcheski, Stamenkovski, Lokvenec, Nastev - Popovski, Rajkovski.

The coach fielded the following talents: Kvasňák - Krchňavý, Pastorek - Valichnáč, Jáger, Konvičný, Ilaš, Kozica - Šušorený, Nasadil, Szetei.

FK Mali Apashi entered the field in a 3-5-2 formation. The visitors, Youth ZH boys, chose to start the game with a 2-5-3 lineup. Apashe demonstrated their creative tactics on the field. Tashe Stojcheski's name was on everyone's lips after his goal 2 minutes into the game. It was a combination through the middle putting Apashe ahead 1 - 0. Leopold Nasadil almost scored an equalising goal for YZH after 14 minutes, but Mirak Gjyli made an excellent save, tipping the awkwardly curling shot past the post. Apashe's Petar Popovski showed some of his reported potential with that goal. It's 2 - 0, a clinical finish after a pass through the middle that impressed even some of the senior squad players that showed up here today. Several mothers standing on the sideline felt the referee was much too lenient when he only showed Petar Popovski of Apashe a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 30 minutes into the game. Jaromír Kozica slowly got up on his feet, clutching his right thigh, but eventually signalled that he was ready to play on. After 35 minutes, Erando Hajdari found the key to the opposing defence and worked himself into position for a shot. Apashe nearly increased their lead there, but in the end the strike was denied by Gustáv Kvasňák between the posts. Mihail Ilioski had understood the importance to use the full width of the field, and managed to bypass the opposing defenders easily. His fine pass reached Petar Popovski, who was unable to score. After 36 minutes, YZH had a fantastic opportunity to reply but Jaromír Kozica tried to do it all by himself and the chance vanished . At the halftime break, the score was 2 - 0. Apashe didn't seem to want to give the ball away in this half, which resulted in 57 percent of the possession.

Leopold Nasadil showed no mercy as he ran straight at the Apashe playmaker, then stumbled with the ball right through the ensuing mess and scored for YZH. That made it 2 - 1 by the powerful forward, 61 minutes in the match! Atanas Rajkovski was all smiles as the Apashe coach thanked him for taking the score to 3 - 1, tousling his hair. After 70 minutes he had taken advantage of a good exchange of passes on the right and steered the ball into the net. 71 minutes into the game, Apashe scored again. Ico Lokvenec had picked up a stray ball, entered the box from the left, and then coolly rounded the goalkeeper for the 4 - 1 goal. A bit later, YZH's Oliver Ilaš got an approving look from his dad as he reduced the score to 4 - 2. The situation arose after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence line. The match ends 4 - 2. Apashe, bringing their ball possession to 57 percent, seemed most ambitious today.

The spectators agreed that the most impressive boy in Apashe today had been Petar Popovski. On the other hand, Tashe Stojcheski's performance hadn't been very good at all. YZH's Péter Szetei had a great game and was congratulated by his team mates. This lad could be going places! Adrián Konvičný showed he still has a lot to learn.
