A II 5 - 0 MUK

31 people were spread out along the sidelines of Aachen II Stadion, the decent weather leading to fine conditions for football. Starters: Dajbog - Mironescu, Pupeză - Ciof, Docu, Corpade, Barhan, Horgea - Bănică, Oprin, Căruntu.

The boys who got to play today were: Ravnjanski - Majko, Obednikovski, Necev, Petrov, Lazami - Kicheec, Milenkovski, Nadzakov - Vokrri, Malinov.

FC Aachen II entered the field in a 2-5-3 formation. The visitors, ManUtd Youngs, chose to start the game with a 5-3-2 lineup. A II tried to focus their attacks down the middle. MUK's Xhevahir Majko was shown a yellow card after 9 minutes for using his elbow in an aerial duel with an opposing player. The visitors' central defenders should have stopped Artur Bănică, but they were naive in their efforts and let him slip through. The goal put A II into the lead, it was a low shot and the goalkeeper couldn't reach it. 1 - 0! Some things can only be learned through experience, and Tudor-Mihai Mironescu needs plenty of that. He could have avoided that defensive blunder which almost gave MUK a goal after 16 minutes. Things were going to get worse for the visiting boys. Ştefan Barhan willed his way through the central defence after 19 minutes, and scored to make it 2 - 0, making the lead more secure. Milan Ravnjanski kept the visitors in the game with an amazing save after 31 minutes, following Artur Bănică's cannonball kick. One for the TV cameras - had they been around. The defensive line of MUK created a counterattack that gave Ivica Petrov a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Ştefan Oprin of A II received a yellow card after 34 minutes for arguing with the referee. Xhevahir Majko knew he was in trouble after hacking down an opponent. Despite his pleading with the referee, the MUK boy was shown a second yellow card and left the pitch in tears. A slight injury to his right calf muscle meant Radomir Obednikovski had to leave the match early. It happened after 37 minutes. Maksim Kalchoski had already been warming up, and came on for Radomir Obednikovski. After 40 minutes of the match had been played, the visitors defenders misjudged the movements of A II's Artur Bănică through the middle, leaving him one on one with the keeper. He pulled the trigger and the score was 3 - 0. After 42 minutes, Ivica Petrov of MUK fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was not impressed by the young lad's acting skills and booked him for diving. After some hard work down the middle, Raul Horgea could have closed the game off after 43 minutes, but his finishing shot hit the post. The referee confirmed the score as 3 - 0 when he signalled for the halftime break. This half the A II boys hung on to the ball, with 71 percent of possession.

After 55 minutes, MUK had a fantastic opportunity to reply but Angel Malinov tried to do it all by himself and the chance vanished . In the 68:th minute of game time, MUK's Ivica Petrov received his second yellow card and was sent off. A II's Tudor-Mihai Mironescu took a knock to the head after 68 minutes, due to a badly executed header. He took a few uneasy steps, but got dizzy and then taken off the field. Sandu Stanciu tried to hide a smile as he entered the field. He had not expected to get a chance this day. 72 minutes into the match, A II's Petre Pupeză tried to nail the coffin shut, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. It was obvious that A II had instructions to attack in the middle when they choose to try attacking in the centre instead of on the wing. A II solidified their lead at the 74 minute mark, as Tomas Căruntu maneuvered the ball through the central line of defence and clipped in the 4 - 0 goal. The A II lads wanted more, and in the 77 minute Claudiu Corpade provided. That made the score 5 - 0 following some nice skill on the right edge of the penalty box. To impress some local girls at the side of pitch Erik Lazami did some fancy moves up the middle and nearly reduced the home side's lead, but Ştefan Dajbog refused to let the ball slip by him. The match ends 5 - 0. In this half A II were the most energetic, keeping the ball to themselves for 73 percent of the time.

A II's Ştefan Oprin had a great game and was congratulated by his team mates. This lad could be going places! Ştefan Dajbog left the field with tears in his eyes, knowing he had been the worst player on his team. Angel Malinov performed especially well for MUK - this one could be a candidate for the senior squad one day. The coach took Milan Ravnjanski aside after the game, telling him it is okay to have a bad day on the pitch as long as you keep trying.
