Shrek 0 - 5 young-re

Around 147 brave souls made it to the wet and mud of of the swamp to see the game. Some joker suggested a snorkel and flippers might be more appropriate, given the conditions. For strong, physical players the heavy rain was easy to overcome, it was even an advantage given their style of play. Others, such as the quick or technical ones, made bleaker appearances. Starters: Pieternella - Balentien, Locadia, Janga - Benschop, Batenburg, Balentien, Jones, Rosalia - Locadia, van Kessel.

The boys who got to play today were: Andoni - Martinoski, Davidoski, Koreshi - Bajkov, Simonoski, Fidanovski, Pavleski, Ravnjanski - Shumkovski, Gjoni.

Both teams came out with a similar approach to the match, having chosen to start with a 3-5-2 formation. After 4 minutes, young-re's Marjan Simonoski made his way through the middle and cheekily placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. Ricardo van Kessel rushed from deep after 11 minutes of the game had gone. He received a perfectly timed pass in the area, but at the last moment, one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in and warded it off for a corner. young-re looked like a proper team as they worked their way up the left side after 21 minutes, ending with an unsuccessful attempt at goal. Jerin Gjoni showed maturity 22 minutes into the match as he anticipated a pass, blocked it and then had the presence of mind to strike it precisely into goal. 0 - 2 for his young-re! Jerin Gjoni could have extended his team's lead in the 24:th minute, but his ambitious left side rush didn't help much since it was finished off by a lame cross to the keeper. After 25 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Zare Shumkovski who increased young-re's lead to 0 - 3. Content with how the game was proceeding, the young-re coach let Krenar Abdyli replace Zare Shumkovski after 26 minutes. After 30 minutes, young-re's Gorjan Davidoski careened through the central defenders and was just able to get off a shot for the 0 - 4 goal before being brought down by his marker. Jürgen Benschop was unable to continue, following a slight injury to his right knee after 31 minutes. The replacement for the injured player was Shamir Bazoer. 0 - 4 was the score after 45 minutes. young-re pleased their coach greatly, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.

young-re's Odise Koreshi wanted to play on, but in the 70:th minute the decision was made to substitute him for Fidan Koljozov. With Odise Koreshi no longer on the pitch, Bozhidar Fidanovski took over free kick duty. Jacobo Pieternella got a fingertip on Fidan Koljozov's shot from the left in the 70th minute, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. Looks like he hurt his wrist though, mummy is there to look after him. Good boy - now he's up again! In the 74th minute, Bozhidar Fidanovski displayed his charming innocence as a footballer and made a solo raid through the centre of the pitch. The defenders followed him closely, but the young talent got a shot off and was nearly able to add to his team's lead. A drive on the left side created space for young-re's Blasko Ravnjanski, who easily put the cross away after 79 minutes for 0 - 5. Jerin Gjoni could have made a name for himself when he, after 80 minutes, almost extended the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball looped into the middle, but the home side's keeper Jacobo Pieternella collected it. At the final whistle, the score is 0 - 5. This half the young-re boys hung on to the ball, with 65 percent of possession.

Kenley Locadia performed especially well for Shrek - this one could be a candidate for the senior squad one day. On the other hand, Jacobo Pieternella's performance hadn't been very good at all. The young-re players gave Simon Pavleski a group hug after the game, claiming he'd been "really great". Fidan Koljozov showed he still has a lot to learn.
