Clouds darkened the skies at Automobile Academy Arena as 238 friends and relatives turned up to check the progress of their lads. Starters: Chulev - Gelevski, Chomovski - Ordevski, Kojzekliski, Trifunovski, Veterovski, Zhirkov - Vasilkovski, Zhupanoski, Donchevski.

The lucky starting players: Prüfer - Wientapper, Mackel - Hellmann-Ernstberger, Bell, Sternat, Kesselstatt - Ðalović, Raedlein.

Alpa Mobil U17 fielded a 2-5-3 lineup. For Offenburger Junglöwen, the formation of choice was 2-4-2. APM-U17 decided to play creatively. The referee noted down 0 - 1 as the new score after 2 minutes. Junglöwen's Knut Kesselstatt had cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal. After 2 minutes, Zdravko Zhupanoski dashed through the middle past the away team's defenders to score the 1 - 1 goal. A peculiar volley from Zvonko Trifunovski nearly went in, but Boro Ordevski could not get the rebound under control and the ball was instead cleared by a defender. After 11 minutes, APM-U17 sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached Evtim Zhirkov, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot and score the 2 - 1 goal. Did someone forget the pre-match briefing today? The Junglöwen lads didn't seem to have a clue what to do, and their organisation level dropped to passable. APM-U17 extended their lead to 3 - 1. The boy of the moment was Zvonko Trifunovski, who protected the ball well as he jinked in from the left side to find space for the finish. After 29 minutes Jakov Donchevski secured the lead for APM-U17 with a great-looking free kick. That means 4 - 1. The coach of Junglöwen was embarrassed to see his players fail the tactical setup. Many played out of position and the organisation level of the team dropped to poor. 4 - 1 was the score after the first half. APM-U17 didn't seem to want to give the ball away in this half, which resulted in 72 percent of the possession.

After handing out some oranges, Junglöwen's coach repeated his tactical instructions to the team. The boys finally got it, and were back at passable organisation when the whistle blew again. APM-U17 added one goal to their lead as Jakov Donchevski tucked the ball in the net, 5 - 1. He received the ball from the left, turned and then scored. Junglöwen appeared uncertain how to play and their organisation was only passable. After 65 minutes, Zdravko Zhupanoski found the key to the opposing defence and worked himself into position for a shot. APM-U17 nearly increased their lead there, but in the end the strike was denied by Eike Prüfer between the posts. Advancing up the left wing proved worthwhile for APM-U17, who increased their lead to 6 - 1 when Sasho Veterovski broke away from his marker and finished from an acute angle. It was group hug time yet again, when APM-U17 pushed ahead to 7 - 1. Zdravko Zhupanoski was the center of attention, having moved deftly through the middle to find his angle, not hesitating when he did. Lacking experience with the current tactics, the players of APM-U17 kept running into each other on the pitch. They only managed a passable level of organisation. The match ends 7 - 1. APM-U17, bringing their ball possession to 71 percent, seemed most ambitious today.

The APM-U17 players gave Zdravko Zhupanoski a group hug after the game, claiming he'd been "really great". Gorjan Chulev showed he still has a lot to learn. Junglöwen's Konrad Raedlein had a great game and was congratulated by his team mates. This lad could be going places! On the other hand, Thankred Bell's performance hadn't been very good at all.
