APM-U17 2 - 0 WTY

It had been a rainy day, and no more than 185 were scattered around Automobile Academy Arena to see the game. The rain was pouring down, it was the kind of weather favoured by strong players who stick to simple football. For players possessing of speed or technical skills, the day really was as grim as for everyone else. The boys who got to play today were: Vasilkovski - Chomovski, Maksimovski - Donchevski, Zhupanoski, Bonevski, Zhirkov, Cekovski - Chulev, Veterovski, Ordevski.

The coach fielded the following talents: Akyüz - Tschamler, Sandlein, Dermann, Kurzweil - Kent, Toth, Polesnig, Trütschler - Rampold, Meßner.

It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 2-5-3 formation while the visitors instead opted for 4-4-2. APM-U17 showed off their creative tactics. WTY decided to play creatively. Sasho Veterovski's name was on everyone's lips after his goal 8 minutes into the game. It was a combination through the middle putting APM-U17 ahead 1 - 0. The APM-U17 youngsters looked rather smug following the 2 - 0 goal, which came about after a left side attack. Gorjan Chulev stuffed it in after around 14 minutes of the match. Evtim Zhirkov nearly extended his teams lead after 15 minutes of the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but Barış Akyüz managed to get a fingertip to it and deflect it round the post. 2 - 0 was the score after 45 minutes. This half the APM-U17 boys hung on to the ball, with 61 percent of possession.

In the 46:th minute, the WTY coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. Frank Uter came on, Jannik Toth had to leave the fray. WTY needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 46 minutes Erno Sandlein made way for Baltram Matreux. The coach of WTY was embarrassed to see his players fail the tactical setup. Many played out of position and the organisation level of the team dropped to passable. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Hans Polesnig was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 75 minutes. Emil Eisenhardt was given a chance to change things around. With WTY now without a captain, brave young Baltram Matreux stepped up to the challenge. APM-U17's Joakim Cekovski delivered that cross from the left with precision, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. Tosho Maksimovski feigned, rushed, and dribbled from right to centre, almost managing to give APM-U17 another goal after his determined run. However, his marker was tracking back well and managed to block the shot. The match ends 2 - 0. APM-U17 didn't seem to want to give the ball away in this half, which resulted in 63 percent of the possession.

The APM-U17 players gave Sasho Veterovski a group hug after the game, claiming he'd been "really great". Sasko Vasilkovski showed he still has a lot to learn. The coach of WTY was especially pleased with Winnie Rampold after the game. The coach took Emil Eisenhardt aside after the game, telling him it is okay to have a bad day on the pitch as long as you keep trying.
