BTC 3 - 2 junci

It had been a rainy day, and no more than 190 were scattered around Ragnarök Aréna to see the game. While a boggy pitch like this was an advantage for physical players, it really didn't help those who relied on speed or technique. The picks for today were: Ameseder - Bali, Novozhenin, Keczeli - Gorshanov, Jaruzel, Zvolenszky, Gersits, Hajós - Sinkó, Sipos.

The boys who got to play today were: Prchkovski - Cekov, Naumov - Oncheski, Trendafilov, Arllati, Stojmenovski, Nikolovski - Isirov, Malko, Stanchevski.

It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 3-5-2 formation while the visitors instead opted for 2-5-3. Igli Malko charged through the defensive line after 6 minutes and despite almost losing his balance due to a harsh tackle, he still managed to squeeze the ball in. 0 - 1 was the new score for the visiting team. BTC tried to get through central defence, and kept trying out combinations they had been practising in a recent training session. After 22 minutes, Arkadiusz Jaruzel was able to follow the plan through, but the goalkeeper managed a desperate save. Dimche Stanchevski sent the corner into the box and from the big heap of players that struggled to reach it Sasho Oncheski emerged victorious, heading it narrowly past the keeper. 0 - 2! Given a free kick at a sharp angle, BTC went for a variation that loyal fans may recognise from training. A sideways passing move pulled the defence out of position and let György Sinkó slip through on goal. No hesitation - and it's 1 - 2, 29 minutes into the game. junci looked like a proper team as they worked their way up the left side after 31 minutes, ending with an unsuccessful attempt at goal. BTC wanted the equaliser, and kept trying long plays towards their target man up front. The visitors' defence were able to keep in control, though. 1 - 2 was the score after 45 minutes. BTC pleased their coach greatly, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.

The young BTC squad were attacking through the central midfield, but with a certain lack of focus. Marcell Zvolenszky still broke loose through, but his shot went over the bar. junci was able to draw a foul with their counterattacks, but the shot from Dimche Stanchevski went into the arms of the keeper. After 67 minutes BTC was able to tie the match with the 2 - 2 goal. Young Zalán Sipos cleverly connected to a pass from the right and it went straight past the keeper. The corner kick went to György Sinkó who headed it straight at goal. The keeper was in the right spot but fumbled the ball, giving BTC's Zalán Sipos an easy scoring opportunity: 3 - 2. An equalising goal seemed certain after 74 minutes when Trifun Isirov came down the left side, but Felix Joshua Ameseder just managed the save. 78 minutes into the match, BTC's György Sinkó tried to nail the coffin shut, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. As the match wraps up the score is 3 - 2. BTC didn't seem to want to give the ball away in this half, which resulted in 55 percent of the possession.

The coach of BTC was especially pleased with Albert Hajós after the game. Felix Joshua Ameseder showed he still has a lot to learn. junci's Igli Malko had a great game and was congratulated by his team mates. This lad could be going places! The coach took Pane Stojmenovski aside after the game, telling him it is okay to have a bad day on the pitch as long as you keep trying.
