Apashe 8 - 1 IBS

A group of 26 people showed up at Apashko Duvlo, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. The picks for today were: Gjyli - Stojcheski, Stamenkovski, Dzadzovski - Beqaj, Demaqi, Bundalevski, Mishkovski, Angelovski - Ilioski, Popovski.

The boys who got to play today were: Jarrín - Medrano Gil, Nazareno - Ayoví, Sandoval, Domínguez, López Dieguez, Villafuerte - Morán, Mayorga, Zurita.

FK Mali Apashi started the game in a 3-5-2 formation, whereas I Barlafus lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. Apashe demonstrated their creative tactics on the field. The Apashe coach looked sceptical as Blagoja Angelovski made his way down the left side. However, the talented young man avoided all challenges and pushed in the go-ahead goal for 1 - 0! 19 minutes into the fray IBS's Pepe Zurita came through the middle and sneaked through a gap in the home side's central defence. He scored by sliding the ball between the keeper's legs - nutmeg! - making it 1 - 1. Apashe scored the 2 - 1 goal with a penalty with 22 minutes gone. Aco Stamenkovski delayed the spot kick for a minute, posing for the attending girls, then hammered it home. The corner kick went to Blagoja Angelovski who headed it straight at goal. The keeper was in the right spot but fumbled the ball, giving Apashe's Petar Popovski an easy scoring opportunity: 3 - 1. The referee confirmed the score as 3 - 1 when he signalled for the halftime break. Apashe didn't seem to want to give the ball away in this half, which resulted in 53 percent of the possession.

It was group hug time yet again, when Apashe pushed ahead to 4 - 1. Tashe Stojcheski was the center of attention, having moved deftly through the middle to find his angle, not hesitating when he did. Apashe's Petar Popovski showed some of his reported potential with that goal. It's 5 - 1, a clinical finish after a pass through the middle that impressed even some of the senior squad players that showed up here today. Apashe's Mihail Ilioski looked like a potential match-winner there, but his rush down the middle after 59 minutes, and subsequent well positioned shot, was intercepted by a defender. Apashe's Mihail Ilioski blocked one attack after another by IBS, finally picking the ball up for himself and powering through towards the goal. It paid off! 6-1 after 59 minutes. Always a threat, fresh-faced Manesh Demaqi tore past his marker and placed the ball right at the feet of the waiting Blagoja Angelovski who should have easily scored for Apashe, but the ball went wide. After 70 minutes, Aco Stamenkovski emulated a free kick style he'd seen on television. It worked wonders and Apashe are now ahead 7 - 1. Apashe solidified their lead at the 75 minute mark, as Blagoja Angelovski maneuvered the ball through the central line of defence and clipped in the 8 - 1 goal. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Gilmar Mayorga was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 80 minutes. Ney Beltrán was given a chance to change things around. In the 85:th minute, the IBS coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. Guillermo Hidalgo came on, Dennis Nazareno had to leave the fray. As the match wraps up the score is 8 - 1. Apashe pleased their coach greatly, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

Apashe's Petar Popovski had a great game and was congratulated by his team mates. This lad could be going places! Tashe Stojcheski showed he still has a lot to learn. Pepe Zurita performed especially well for IBS - this one could be a candidate for the senior squad one day. The coach took Johnny Jarrín aside after the game, telling him it is okay to have a bad day on the pitch as long as you keep trying.
